Printing Details

This 3D model consists of files in StereoLithography (.Stl) format that have been optimized for 3D printing.

Before printing the files, we strongly recommend reading the PRINTING DETAILS section.

Version 1 and Version 2 are the files for Mad Cat MkII 3D model optimized for 3D printing, the preview pictures of which you see above.

It is recommended:

  • to print Version 1 STL files on FDM/FFF 3D printers;
  • to print Version 2 STL files on DLP/SLA/SLS 3D printers.

There’ll never be too much mechs from MechWarrior Online! This one is Mad Cat MkII 3D Printing Model inspired by the most nimble BattleMech among others of its class.

The development of Mad Cat MkII took fifteen months in order to increase profits of Clan Diamond Shark. Quite a big amount of these mechs was sold to Clans Nova Cat, Jade Falcon and Wolf-in-Exile. It belongs to assault combat vehicles and uses a pair of powerful Gauss Rifles. 

Mad Cat MkII 3D Model has a lot of features MWO fans will enjoy:

  • Mech’s LRM-10 are kept in theirs original position - at an angle of 45 degrees;
  • Classic for mechs V-shaped position is saved. 
  • Guns are covered with two layers of armor like the ones canonic Mad Cat MkII has;
  • Mech’s arms, knees, feet and torso can turn with the help of hinges. 

The real size of Mad Cat MkII mech is debateable. In this case, the prototype is considered to be 17,6 m high, according to the odds between MkI (which is 16 m) and MkII models. 

Both FDM and SLS/SLA versions are available.

FDM - version 1:

  • Is 1:60 scale and after being printed will stand 293 mm high;
  • Has removable hinges that should be printed with 100% fill to make them solid.

SLS/SLA - version 2:

  • Is 1:100 scale and will stand 176 mm;
  • Has as little details as possible to keep printing budget about 50-60 $.
