ABOUT THIS 3D FIGURINE

Diablo returned and he is ready to spread havoc! Considered by many to be one of the greatest games of all time, the second instalment of the Diablo series further explores the deadly wastelands and grim locations of the Prime Evils’ universe. Excited about the 2021 resurrection of the Lord of Destruction, our contributing 3D artists revisited the timeless classic in order to sculpt the titular antagonist of the Diablo franchise. The imposing Al'Diabalos for 3D printing is portrayed towering above the spectator, with a defeated victim clenched in its hand. Dangerous and majestic, Diablo is ready to instil terror into your 3D printed collection!

ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING

Diablo II Classic for 3D printing is a static assembly figurine and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took Gambody team 62 hours in total. The anatomy and proportions of the Lord of Terror were thoroughly reviewed during the moderation process for the figurine to be depicted harmoniously in the intended pose

The model’s cutting in its assembly version was chosen by our team to minimise the amount of filament needed for generated support and some of the parts were hollowed out for you to save resin in Diablo’s Eco version. The imposing figurine and its spiky limbs and tail were divided into as many assembly parts as needed to fit even the smallest 3D printers' build plates and for you to nevertheless receive a towering 3D printed Diablo after assembly. In order to conceal the areas where assembly parts of the model must be connected, the Dark Lord was cut along the contour of his body seams. For you to achieve the cleanest result possible such parts as figurine’s Diablo’s horns, claws, his victim, all kinds of individual spikes all over the figurine’s body, the demon's long tail, skulls all over the base, etc. are provided as separate files.

All assembly parts in FFF/FDM version are provided in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out in order to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and that the 3D printing beginners won't face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. When downloading any figurine's file you will also receive "Assembly Manual" for FFF/FDM 1.0 and DLP/SLA 1.0 versions in PDF format.

The figurine is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

The model's scale was calculated from Diablo's actual height that is 6500 mm. The 3D printing figurine's chosen scale is 1:16 for the FFF/FDM version and 1:32 for the DLP/SLA/SLS versions.

Below you can find printing recommendations for CuraSimplify3D and Slic3r software.

Cura printing recommendations:

These are basic settings that were tested in Cura 4.8.0 slicer.

The test models were printed on Ultimaker 2, Creality Ender 3, Creality CR-10S Pro V2, Anycubic I3 Mega, Anycubic I3 MegaS 3D printers with PLA and PETG filaments.

Disclaimer: The following printing settings are a recommendation, not an obligation. The parameters can vary depending on the peculiarities of your 3D printer, the material you use and especially the particular assembly part at hand. Each part that any model comprises often needs preliminary review and you are free to tweak the settings the way you find suitable.

Note:
- You can scale up the model (downscaling is not recommended!);
- All connectors should be printed at 100% Infill;
- For all parts of locks (“ge_lock” in “Source files”) you need to change "Brim" type to "Skirt" in Build Plate Adhesion section.
