My Halloween Jack-o'-lantern Pumpkin Lamp
I went with the Jack Skellington Pumpkin Small and scaled it up to 215% - pretty much the biggest I could fit on my FLSUN V400. I kept most of my usual printer settings, used regular supports, and set the infill to around 15%. For filament, I chose Anycubic Standard Gray PLA. Overall, the print went smoothly! One of the supports started peeling off the build plate a little, but luckily, it didn't cause any major issues. 👌
For painting, I started with The Army Painter Colour Primer Matt Black, then gradually brought out the details using Vallejo acrylic paints in browns, reds, and lighter shades. I used a Green Stuff World wet palette to mix the colors and a size 12 nylon brush for painting. A bit of dry brushing really made those textures pop! Once I was happy with the result, I sealed everything with a coat of clear matte varnish.
The final touch was turning it into a glowing Halloween decoration. I simply placed a battery-powered multicolor LED string inside, and it worked perfectly! 😂🎃
I love how the finished pumpkin looks, especially when it's glowing in the dark. It's become the perfect spooky centerpiece, and now I'm officially ready for Halloween! 💀🖤
