Drowned in the sound of the fans' excitement, Carnage finally enters the cinema stage! Behind this alias hides the particularly bloodthirsty cannibalistic serial killer Cletus Kasady merged with the asexually-produced offspring of Venom symbiote, who together formed a new powerful being and promised the avid Marvel moviegoers some spectacular action. And though we are yet to see Carnage on the big screens, he can already sweep you off your feet with his epic appearance in the form of the Carnage 3D Printing Figurine!

Not only the recurring enemy to both Spider-Man and Venom, but also a source of inspiration for our contributing 3D artist, Carnage does not shy away from showcasing his abilities. In the highly detailed figurine, the shape-shifting monster throws himself into battle while his deadly weapon-like tendrils sprout of his body and wreak havoc all around. The remarkable attention to the figurine's anatomy that speaks of dynamism and strength will make this piece irreplaceable in your collection. So let there be Carnage!

Carnage figurine for 3D printing is a static assembly model and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took Gambody team 58 hours in total. Figurine’s anatomy and body proportions were reviewed during the moderation for the massive symbiote and his tentacles to be depicted harmoniously in the intended dynamic pose.

The model’s cutting was chosen by our team to minimise the amount generated support and some of the parts were hollowed out for you to save resin in the Eco version. In order to ensure an excellent quality of the 3D printed result, the Carnage figurine was divided into multiple parts, i.e. figurine’s head, torso, limbs, claws, numerous tendrils, platform pieces are provided as separate parts. In addition, the Carnage's tongue and upper jaw were extracted from the mouth. To conceal the places where the assembly parts of the figurine are connected, it was cut along the anatomical outline of the symbiote's body and tendrils.

All the assembly parts of the FFF/FDM 1.0 version of the figurine come in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out in order to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and so that the 3D printing beginners won't face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. When downloading any figurine's file you will also receive "Assembly Manual" for FFF/FDM 1.0 and DLP/SLA 1.0 versions in PDF format.

The figurine is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

The model's scale was calculated from the Carnage symbiote's approximate height which is 2000 mm. The 3D printing figurine's chosen scale is 1:8 for the FFF/FDM version and 1:16 for the DLP/SLA/SLS versions.

FFF/FDM 1.0 version features:
- Contains 52 parts;
- A printed model is 320 mm tall, 310 mm wide, 250 mm deep;
- The assembly kit includes a lock to attach the model's parts securely without glue - the lock 52_ge_lock_10H(x1) needs to be printed once;
- All parts are divided in such a way that you will print them with the smallest number of support structures.

DLP/SLA 1.0 version features:
- Contains 18 parts;
- A printed model is 160 mm tall, 155 mm wide, 125 mm deep;
- All parts are divided in such a way to fit the build plates and to ensure that support structures are generated where needed.

DLP/SLA Eco 1.0 version features:
- Contains 18 parts;
- A printed model is 160 mm tall, 155 mm wide, 125 mm deep;
- Contains some hollowed-out parts to save resin.

DLP/SLA Pre-supported 1.0 version features:
- Contains 18 parts;
- A printed model is 160 mm tall, 155 mm wide, 125 mm deep;
- The STL files that this version comprises are pre-supportedhollowed out, and have drain holes where needed;
- You may choose to print the STL files one by one or several at once, depending on the dimensions of your resin 3D printer's build plate;
- When slicing several STL files at once, the attachment layers (Platform Touch Shape) may overlap, but the supports must not come into contact.

SLS 1.0 version features:
- Contains 13 parts;
- One part is made as a solid one-piece Carnage figurine with the platform;
- A printed model is 160 mm tall, 155 mm wide, 125 mm deep.

Below you can find printing recommendations for CuraSimplify3D and Slic3r software.

Cura printing recommendations:

These are basic settings that were tested in Cura 4.8.0 slicer.

The test models were printed on Ultimaker 2, Creality Ender 3, Creality CR-10S Pro V2, Anycubic I3 Mega, Anycubic I3 MegaS 3D printers with PLA and PETG filaments.

Disclaimer: The following printing settings are a recommendation, not an obligation. The parameters can vary depending on the peculiarities of your 3D printer, the material you use and especially the particular assembly part at hand. Each part that any model comprises often needs preliminary review and you are free to tweak the settings the way you find suitable.

- You can scale up the model (downscaling is not recommended!);
- All connectors should be printed at 100% Infill;
- For all parts of locks (“ge_lock” in “Source files”) you need to change "Brim" type to "Skirt" in Build Plate Adhesion section.
