Great detailed build came out great, I was able to add some LED to the nose and nacelles. They turned out okay, the whole build look pretty slick. Good detailed build.I think im going to go with the bird of prey next.
I spent agonising hours printing paul as a distraction for my family - my name is paul and they associate me with the alien because i love marmite. It took ages on a couple of ender 3s. Painted it outside, 20 minutes someone stole it - that is how good this print is. Excellent file and setup, easy to print, harder to stick together on the head LOL. I am going to print it again but this time mod the file for magnet fitting of the head pieces making the process easier. If you want a life size paul then have at it, fun and always a pleaser, there are no faults with this model at all which I love.
Been meaning to print this for a while but too tiny as standard so printing it at 200% and it is huge lol. Only snag I came to is the socket fittings dont screw in properly. Overall though epic model to print. Once I have more free printer time I will 500% this model. I like how the chest and the back fit together with pegs, I modded my file to take 5x2mm magnets instead to make it easier for battery replacement and repairs without having to hope it stays ion place or glue. If like me obsessed with pacific rim & robots then buy it dont hesitate lol
Just finihsed printing and its massive, I printed the FDM version but in Resin (As i like pain), and its HUGE, but massivly detailed, every print i would look it over and was just speachless. I would 100% recomend if youre a B5 fan to buy this with out doubt BUY IT. Keph is a talented designer and i cant wait for what he comes up with next, Im also going to make sure everyone knows about this model and how good it is.
Printed most of the model (at 200 odd pieces, I may have missed a few bits lol). Roughly put together, it looks amazing, not to mention much bugger than I imagined. I'm also currently programming up an Arduino mega for lighting, which is working out well, but not perfect due to limitations of both my knowledge , and limitations of the Arduino programming. The only thing I see that is missing is the fact that the instructions could be a little clearer as to if pieces should be glued together or not, obviously user choice works too though :). Pictures will come at some point when its completed, but its slow going due to the fact that I'm using a battery operated air brush, and only get about 20 mins at a time to paint it.
Understand I'm not _that_ old (at least in my own mind), but when I was a kid, I was a big model builder. Had all sorts of SciFi models like the Flying Sub, Spindrift, Orion, Enterprise Bridge, Moonbase Alpha, and more. So now I get to be an adult re-living my childhood! The original scale was too big for my room, so I scaled it to 60%. And I must say, the details remained very visible. I used my Snapmaker U1 to colorize the print (used my Bambu P1S for the solid colors) – not a single dab of paint was used. Looks freaking awesome.
Honestly what drew me to this model the most was the stand that comes with the elite add-on. Admittedly this was not a favorite TIE model in general, but as i built it it rapidly became one of my favorite ships! I'm working on an elite version and will post pix once those are done. all in all a great experience; well done!
very well supported, hollowed, etc. nicely detailed as well. wish the instructions were a little more clear on the assembly options but they were enough to figure it out
I’m done with printing this model now, I had some small issues. Part of it did not fit, but they are correct it now and you can download them. I will share some details later on.For the lead trip, a 3 m length will be great. Maybe you should put this in explanation. I’m full attempt to make this model with more LED lightning. Therefore, I need to adjust some pieces. More to come later happy printing.
Now with this new version of GamBody, I am finally able to leave a comment for this great model by Paul. It's been almost three years since I bought the first edition of Paul, and in the meantime I've been able to easily download two new updates for the model free of charge – the lifetime support is fantastic! The many parts are printed on three different printers – at that time, an Artillery Genius, a Viper, and a JGAURORA. The assembly took me over a year, as I constantly had to figure out how to achieve sufficient stability for Paul. The thin legs, the large head... He was supposed to be detachable, in three sections – head, torso, and legs. After many hours of filling and painting, he actually stood up on his little legs by himself. A fantastic experience.
This was my frist big 3D print on my Bambu Labs H2S. Rafael3D was very helpful with helping me at parts that I was confused about. I will provide some feedback in some areas that I noticed in the assmebly guide. Rafael3D also gave me some convex lenses for the eyes, but I have not tried them out yet. I need to figure out how to dial in settings for transparent filament. Pretty happy!
As with all the other models I’ve gotten from Gambody, these files printed perfectly. I’d been wanting an F14 model since I started printing a year ago. You guys should do more ships from Star Gate series like the BC-304 Daedalus and Prometheus.
fantastic For a die-hard fan, this model is an absolute must-have. It's a faithful recreation and even has the option to add internal lighting. I highly recommend it and I'm going to add it to my slicer right now!
I've always wanted this APC. Many times I was on the brink of buying a toy online. When it came to Gambody, I attempted printing it right away, but my bedslinger printers did it no justice. I was not until I bout a Core XY printer that I was able to pull it off. I roughed mine up with weathering and decided not to light it up. I went with a 200% upscale. My print measures over 22 inches long. A great model.
The fit and finish is phenomenal. The pieces fit together very, very well. That said, the recommended print settings are *very* slow; I would probably experiment with speeding them up if I were to reprint this (not a negative; for anyone that sees this later).
I have always been a Event Horizon fan, loved the film and the ship was just brillant. When i saw this model I just had to buy it,, some advice DONT do what I did, I print everything out in Resin as it makes the models feel more of a thing for me, so I printed it out at 40% bigger then the print was meant to be, I now have a 5ft long Event Horizon model in my office and i dont know what to do with her,, lol Apart from that model is perfect easy to add lights, easy to put together,, just a perfect model. Leo is a very talented designer.
I upscaled the FFF model from 100 to 150. Detail turned out amazing. I still have to add the antennas. But these should provide a good idea.
Merci beaucoup pour ce modèle. Il est vraiment magnifique. Je l'imprime en PETG HS ERYONE, nozzle en 0.25 et layer en 0.06 mm sur Flashforge ADM 5 PRO. Patrice
Printed this first version and was completely satisfied. Month later returned to download, so as I could improve my first attempt. Surprise! The model had been improved and it's amazing. I love this model. Many thanks!
