3D printing settings
FDM (Cura / PrusaSlicer) — suggested settings
Nozzle: 0.4 mm
Layer height: 0.12–0.20 mm (0.12 mm recommended for best fur/detail fidelity)
Walls / perimeters: 2–3
Top / bottom layers: 6–8
Infill: 10–20% (gyroid or cubic)
Supports: Minimal — add supports under the loop interior and any small undercuts flagged by your slicer (underside of hands/heart may need small supports at small scales).
Orientation: Upright with decorative base on the build plate.
Adhesion: Brim recommended for small/tall prints.
Filament: PLA recommended; PETG for added toughness.
Estimates: ~4–12 hours print time and ~40–150 g filament at 100–120 mm (depends on printer & settings).
Resin (MSLA / SLA) — suggested settings
Layer height: 0.05–0.08 mm
Orientation: Tilt model ~10–25° to reduce flat peel areas and spread support stress; orient to avoid supports on the face/heart if possible.
Supports: Use small touchpoint supports on the back and underside; avoid supports on the heart and other front-facing focal details.
Estimates: ~3–8 hours and ~25–90 mL resin depending on size & printer.
