The Queen is the largest, strongest and the most intelligent female form of Xenomorph species in every hive. She is immense in size, formidable in combat and is notable for significant observational learning abilities. Quite recently, the author of this Alien Queen for 3D printing presented the large Queen vs Darth Vader diorama and decided to prepare a smaller bust for all those who would like to obtain the Queen herself to their Xenomorph 3D printed collection. The project took its author 120 hours in total and resulted in the bust for 3D printing that was made to convey all the Queen’s most distinctive features. The menacing creature is depicted with its large crown-like carapace or the armoured head crest extending rearwards from their skull. The deadly representative of the strongest caste of Xenomorph has two sets of spike-like dorsal tubes and an extra armoured shell on their chest in the form of another carapace that makes up the extremely resilient outer mesoskeleton. Unlike any other Drone or Warrior in the hive, the Queen also has the second, much smaller pair of arms growing from their chest. The exact purpose of these extra arms is not known though the author of the 3D printing bust made sure to include this distinctive element. One look at the mother of Xenomorph is enough to believe in the alien’s near-limitless gunfire invulnerability so we are sure it must be displayed among your AVP inspired collection!  


Alien Queen Bust for 3D printing is a static assembly figurine and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took Gambody team 42 hours in total. The model’s cutting in its assembly version was chosen by our team to minimise the amount of filament needed for generated support. Therefore, and also so to ensure the cleanest 3D printed result possible, each dorsal tube of both symmetrical sets is provided as a separate assembly piece and the creature’s jaws, as well as its inner jaw, come extracted from the monster’s mouth for convenient printing. Moreover, in order to conceal the places where assembly parts of the Queen must be connected, the model was cut along the contour of its body seams. Besides, some of the parts were hollowed out for you to save resin in the bust’s Eco version. All the assembly parts are provided in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out so to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and so that the 3D printing beginners won't face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate.

The figurine is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

The model's scale was calculated from the actual height of the Alien Queen that is 6096 mm. The 3D printing figurine's chosen scale is 1/6 for the FFF/FDM version and 1/12 for the DLP/SLA/SLS versions.


FFF/FDM 1.0 version features:
- Contains 31 parts;
- A printed model is 340 mm tall, 300 mm wide, 375 mm deep;
- Assembly kit includes locks to attach the parts of the bust securely without glue. One lock 30_ge_lock_7S(x1)​ needs to be printed once; another lock 31_ge_lock_10H(x24) needs to be printed 24 times;
- All parts are divided in such a way that you will print them with the smallest number of support structures.

DLP/SLA 1.0 version features:
- Contains 15 parts;
- A printed model is 170 mm tall, 150 mm wide, 193 mm deep;
- All parts are divided in such a way to fit the build plates and to ensure that support structures are generated where needed.

DLP/SLA Eco 1.0 version features:
- Contains 15 parts;
- A printed model is 170 mm tall, 150 mm wide, 193 mm deep;
- Contains some hollowed out parts to save resin.

SLS 1.0 version features:
- Made as solid one-piece figurine;
- A printed model is 170 mm tall, 150 mm wide, 193 mm deep;
- Contains 3 parts - a one-piece model and the figurine with the platform separated.
