ABOUT THIS 3D MODEL

There are several factors that contributed to the success of Final Fantasy VII, and the most decisive of them, according to the producer of the video game, is its cast of characters and the possibility of deep exploration of their personalities. FF VII protagonist, Cloud Strife, is a mercenary who joins the resistance group AVALANCHE to withstand the Shinra mega-corporation responsible for draining life from the planet and fights against his archenemy Sephiroth whose mission is to become the ultimate power over every soul. Cloud is shown as a stoic and selfless individual with a protective nature for his friends and for the planet.

The cult video game character made a huge impression on our contributing 3D artist who sculpted this incredible figurine for 3D printing. The hero is depicted in his typical outfit consisting of baggy pants with a sleeveless shirt and a belt, the spiked pauldron and gauntlets serve for arm protection, while the large Buster Sword, the trademark weapon of the character, rests on his right shoulder. The facial features of the protagonist and his recognizable spiky hair are designed with high precision thanks to the skill of the author which cannot but cause admiration. Don’t wait another minute to add Cloud Strife to your 3D printing to-do list!

ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING

Cloud Strife for 3D printing is a static assembly model and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took the Gambody team 55 hours in total. The figurines' anatomy and proportions were thoroughly reviewed during the moderation process for the soldier to be depicted harmoniously in the intended pose.

The figurine’s cutting was chosen by our team to minimise the amount of generated support and some of the parts were hollowed out for you to save resin in the Eco version. In order to conceal the places where the assembly parts of the figurine are connected, the mercenary was divided into convenient assembly parts.

All assembly parts in the FFF/FDM 1.0 version are provided in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out in order to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and that the 3D printing beginners won't face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. When downloading any model's file you will also receive "Assembly Manual" for FFF/FDM 1.0 and DLP/SLA 1.0 versions in PDF format. We highly recommend that you get acquainted with the “Assembly Video” and "Assembly Manual" before getting down to Cloud Strife figurine for 3D printing.

The model is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

The figurine’s scale was calculated from the height of Cloud Strife which is 1730 mm. The 3D printing figurine’s chosen scales are 1:8 for the FFF/FDM version and 1:16 for the DLP/SLA/SLS versions.
