Description

3D model history

The unaltered clone of the famed Mandalorian bounty hunter Jango Fett and the Galaxy’s legendary mercenary on his own is back to get control over the Tatoonie underworld! With his armour reclaimed and a trusty companion at his side, Boba Fett returns to the crime scene in the new The Book of Boba FettTV Series. The Kaminoan got older, he carries more battle scars and he seems to be set about hopping on yet another thrilling Star Wars adventure piloting the unrivalled Slave I!

Our contributing 3D artist used the references from the second season of The Mandalorian TV series and from The Book of Boba Fett trailer and promotional materials, eager to work on the newest bounty hunter 3D print model. Creative efforts yielded a fantastic result and the brilliant sculpt is already ready for download!

3D printing model features

Model-specific features:

  • The model's anatomy and proportions were thoroughly reviewed during the moderation process for the bounty hunter to be depicted harmoniously in the intended pose;
  • To conceal the places where the assembly parts of the model must be connected, the model was cut along the contour of Boba Fett’s armour seams;
  • the character’s head, helmet, rangefinder, collar, jetpack, belt pockets, holster, EE-3 carbine rifle, etc. are provided as separate assembly parts;
  • Two variants of the head - Boba Fett can be optionally displayed wearing the Mandalorian helmet;

Printing & assembly details:

  • Provided as error-free STL files compatible with most 3D printers;
  • Optimized part division minimizes support material and ensures smooth surface detail;
  • The assembly parts in the FFF/FDM version come in the recommended print orientations for easy bed placement;
  • Assembly manual in PDF and video formats is included for both FFF/FDM and DLP/SLA versions;
  • The model is available in recommended scales of 1:8 for the FFF/FDM version and 1:16 for the DLP/SLA/SLS versions, based on approximate height of the actor, Temuera Morrison (1830 mm).

To avoid printing issues and achieve the best quality, we highly recommend applying the following settings:

Generic

Below you can find printing recommendations for Bambu Studio, Cura, Orca Slicer, PrusaSlicer, Simplify3D, and Slic3r software.

Disclaimer: The following printing settings are a recommendation, not an obligation. The parameters can vary depending on the peculiarities of your 3D printer, the material you use, and especially the particular assembly part you are working with. Each part that any model comprises often needs preliminary review, and you are free to tweak the settings the way you find suitable.

Note:

You can scale up the model (downscaling for FFF/FDM 3D printers is not recommended!);

All connectors should be printed at 100% Infill.

Bambu Lab printing recommendations:

These basic 3D printing settings recommendations for beginners were tested in Bambu Studio 1.9.1. Test models were printed on the Bambu Lab A1, Bambu Lab A1 Mini, Creality Ender 3 S1, Anycubic Kobra 2, and Anycubic Vyper using PLA and PETG filaments.

The design of the upper part of the boots is fixed. The blaster is upgraded with authentic elements. The assembly parts are connected using specially designed integrated connectors that fit securely into the corresponding slots. Optionally, for added strength and rigidity, the static connections can be glued together;

The STL files that this version comprises are pre-supported, hollowed out, and have drain holes where needed. You may choose to print the STL files one by one or several at once, depending on the dimensions of your resin 3D printer's build plate. When slicing several STL files at once, the attachment layers (Platform Touch Shape) may overlap, but the supports must not come into contact. The assembly parts are connected using specially designed integrated connectors that fit securely into the corresponding slots. Optionally, for added strength and rigidity, the static connections can be glued together;
