ABOUT THIS 3D MODEL
Much to the excitement of AvP fans, the author of the Predator on Throne diorama came up with yet another scenario for you to 3D print the wise and ruthless Leader in. The Elder Predator is depicted occupying the majestic Bone Throne that is reportedly entirelycraftedfrom the bones of Yautja’s most worthy opponents. Here you can see the massive crown-like carapace and spike-like dorsal tubes of the Alien Queen, human and Alien skulls, as well as various hunting trophies. To the right of the highly respected Elder crouches an obedient Xenomorph whose long tail encircles the large throne almost entirely.
Completion of the 3D printing project took its author many hours of hard work in order for you to have an opportunity to display the centuries-old Yautja accompanied by its extraterrestrial servant.
ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING
Predator on Throne figurine for 3D printing in diorama is a static assembly model and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took Gambody team circa 47 hours. The anatomy and proportions of both Elder Predator and Xenomorph figurines were thoroughly reviewed during the moderation process for both characters to be depicted harmoniously in the intended poses.
The model’s cutting was chosen by our team to minimise the amount of generated support and some of the parts were hollowed out for you to save resin in the Eco version. In order to conceal the places where the assembly parts of the model must be connected, the predator figurine was cut along the contour of its armour seams, the kneeling Xenomorph was cut along the anatomic folds of its exoskeleton, while the Bone Throne was split element by element.
All assembly parts come in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out in order to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and so that the 3D printing beginners don't face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. When downloading any diorama's file you will also receive "Assembly Manual" for FFF/FDM 1.0 and DLP/SLA 1.0 versions in PDF format.
The model is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.
The model's scale was calculated from Elder Predator's approximate height which is 2220 mm. The 3D printing figurine's chosen scale is 1:8 for the FFF/FDM version and 1:16 for the DLP/SLA/SLS versions.
