Description

3D model history

The Alien franchise gained its status as a classic sci-fi horror film due to its original plot and the masterful directorial work of Ridley Scott. The terrifying story of a space tug Nostromo crew being surrounded by endoparasitoid extraterrestrial species Xenomorphswas taken as a basis for numerous film adaptations, video games, and comics and contributed to the development of the genre as a whole. Xenomorphs strike enormous terror due to their hostile and creepy appearance so there is no surprise that the creatures have the fame of one of the most hazardous and terrific monsters in the history of cinematography.

The Xenomorph Sewer Escape model elaborated by one of our contributing 3D artists will impress everyone with its level of detail and enormous resemblance to the movie character. The scene depicting the fight between Predator and Xenomorph in the sewer inspired the author to create this model which perfectly translates the nature of the creature. The posture of the Xenomorph reveals its strong body with muscled double-jointed legs and strong arms featuring razor claws. The long flexible tail with rows of sharp spikes proved to be an extremely efficient weapon and the creator made sure that the design of this body part will be maximally precise and distinctive since it is the tail that serves as a multifunctional weapon for Xenomorph. With this authentic and eye-catching design for 3D printing, your collection will reach new heights!

To avoid printing issues and achieve the best quality, we highly recommend applying the following settings:

Generic

Below you can find printing recommendations for Bambu Studio, Cura, Orca Slicer, PrusaSlicer, Simplify3D, and Slic3r software.

Disclaimer: The following printing settings are a recommendation, not an obligation. The parameters can vary depending on the peculiarities of your 3D printer, the material you use, and especially the particular assembly part you are working with. Each part that any model comprises often needs preliminary review, and you are free to tweak the settings the way you find suitable.

Note:

You can scale up the model (downscaling for FFF/FDM 3D printers is not recommended!);

All connectors should be printed at 100% Infill.

Bambu Lab printing recommendations:

These basic 3D printing settings recommendations for beginners were tested in Bambu Studio 1.9.1. Test models were printed on the Bambu Lab A1, Bambu Lab A1 Mini, Creality Ender 3 S1, Anycubic Kobra 2, and Anycubic Vyper using PLA and PETG filaments.

These are averaged settings which were tested in the Cura 5.2.1 slicer. Test models were printed on Anycubic Vyper, Creality Ender 3 Pro with PLA filament.
