Treebeard is a wise and giant resident of Forest of Fangorn who “never says anything unless it is worth taking a long time to say.” Presumably the oldest living thing to be found in the heart of Middle-earth by J.R.R. Tolkien, Treebeard is the unusual tree-like creature that befriended Merry and Pippin in the course of The Two Towers instalment of LoTR franchise. The author of this magical model for 3D printing never ceases to rejoice the legendarium fans among the 3D printing community! This time the 3D artist mentioned dedicating circa 180 hours in total in order to bring the character of Treebeard to the 3D printing world. Huge and ancient Lord of the Ents for 3D printing is depicted with exacting attention to detail. Just take a closer look at the rough bark-like skin of Treebeard’s body and intricate gnarled sprouts all over his back - it cannot be even doubted that the author of the 3D printing model presented "...the eldest that had lived in Middle-earth for nine Ages of Sun and Stars." The figurine of the wise Fangorn also necessarily features the long branch-like arms of the mighty creature, as well as his seven-fingered hands. Half-man, half-tree for 3D printing is portrayed with his wild leafy hair and a beard that looks like it was made of moss and twigs. The long stiff legs of the Shepherd of the Trees for 3D printing resemble the living roots of an enormous tree that can be encountered somewhere in the middle of a great forest. The Ents are known to be “not wizardry, but a power far older”. Now, to the delight of all The Lord of the Rings fans and collectors the ancient power can be embodied by the means of 3D printing!

Treebeard figurine for 3D printing is a static assembly model and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took Gambody team 58 hours in total. The anatomy of the tree-like being was thoroughly reviewed during the moderation process for the Fangorn to be depicted harmoniously in the intended pose with all his intricate branches and leaves. The imposing figurine and its giant tree-like limbs were divided into as many assembly parts as needed to fit even the smallest 3D printers' build plates and for you to nevertheless receive a towering 3D printed Treebeard after assembly among your LOTR collection. The model’s cutting was chosen by our team to minimize the amount of filament needed for generated support and some of the parts were hollowed out for you to save resin in the model’s Eco version. In order to conceal the places where assembly parts of the figurine must be connected, the model was cut along the contour of its bark-like skin. For you to achieve the cleanest 3D printed result, Treebeard’s leafy head, hands, feet, and numerous sprouts all over the creature’s body are provided as separate assembly pieces. All assembly parts are provided in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out so to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and that the 3D printing beginners won't face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. When downloading any figurine's file you will also receive "Assembly Manual" for FFF/FDM 1.0 and DLP/SLA 1.0 versions in PDF format.

The figurine is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

The model's scale was calculated from Treebeard's actual height that is 4270 mm. The 3D printing figurine's chosen scale is 1/8 for the FFF/FDM version and 1/16 for the DLP/SLA/SLS versions.
