Hylian Shield STL Files Life Sized

Quite possibly the most recognizable shield in gaming, the our Hylian Shield STL Files stays true to the iconic design in both size and proportions. If you're in need of some quick protection for your Link cosplay, or just want a cool prop to decorate your setup, our Hylian Shield model is perfect for any Zelda fan.

True to scale, our Hylian Shield model comes in at 24.3"H x 20.2"W. It features a curved design in the front and back, with curved wood panel details modeled into the back, making for a highly detailed prop when 3D printed.

In this pack you will receive 2 zipped folders:

-Hylian Shield STL Files

-Hylian Shield Segmented STL Files

We've included both options for 3D printing: a complete, unsegmented STL file of the shield for those who want to bisect the model themselves, and a 9-segment STL pack for those who want to follow our assembly instructions.

The largest parts in the 9-segment shield pack are 250mm in height, so they will fit on most Bambu Lab machines (A1, P1 series, H2D) & printers with similar build volume. You will need to add supports on some of the overhang areas.

We've also included an image of the bird design to be printed and used as a stencil when painting the model!

To assemble the shield, you will also need:

-M5x20mm Machine Screws (countersunk) (x2)

-M5x10mm Heat Inserts (x2)

-Strap of Preferred Material, ~30mm wide

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS:

-To assemble our segmented shield, use a strong glue & 28 printable dowels to align and connect the main body of the shield.

-Align & glue handle halves together, glue into corresponding slots on shield.

-Install heat inserts into respective holes on shield. Use M5x20mm countersunk machine screws to secure strap & strap cover to shield. If you feel the need to add more surface area pressure to your strap, add a washer between the strap and the strap cover. Use decorative caps to cover machine screw head.

STRAP TIPS:

Use a strap with a maximum width of 30mm. You may use your material of choice, and lengthen the strap to your liking. If you want to get extra fancy with the strap, you can sew in D-rings and rig an adjustable strap system!

*These STL files are oriented to be 3D printed without supports. Some files may have supports modeled into the parts that will need to be trimmed or peeled away before assembly.
