ABOUT THIS 3D MODEL
Velociraptor named Blue is the brightest star of the Jurassic World franchise, which serves as an heir to the legendary Jurassic Park heritage and its direct sequel. Blue ranks as the second most intelligent raptor of Jurassic World, who is quick to fight even the most terrifying creatures who dare oppose her. But despite seeming all uncanny, she is also capable of affection and devotion to humans, especially Owen Grady, the trainer of her pack. In the most touching scene of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom movie, Owen conducts an experiment where he discovers that baby Blue can show an unprecedented amount of empathy: she immediately tries to comfort Owen when he pretends to cry, pocking and nuzzling his face like a puppy. Who wouldn’t want to own such an adorable pet reptile but without the deathly dangerous warning? Thanks to our contributing artist’s tireless 118 hours of work, you can now safely adopt Blue and place her on the shelf of your figurine collection. Inspired by Blue’s infant records, the 3D artist made sure to meticulously recreate the anatomy of the reptile’s body that would cater to not only Blue’s personal fans but every dino enthusiast! He breathed life into the realistically sculptured skin texture and every fold on her little yet mighty body. Her open mouth resembles a happy smile from seeing a good old friend. Still, the ominously sharp teeth and claws are a vivid reminder that she is not someone to mess with. Unless she’s made of plastic! To keep Baby Blue busy from munching on your furniture or legs, the author of the model provided her with a football that she will recognize from the times of Owen’s babysitting. The platform of the figurine is decorated with scattered leaves that also hint at baby raptors’ messy paddock. There, full of childish energy and ardor, our Baby Blue figurine for 3D printing is waiting for you to play! Get ready to fulfill your childhood dreams and get a real dino!
ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING
Baby Blue figurine for 3D printing is a static assembly model and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took Gambody team 38 hours in total. The figurine in its assembly version was divided into as many assembly parts as needed to fit even the smallest 3D printers' build plates and for you to nevertheless receive a life-size 3D printed raptor after assembly. The cutting of Baby Blue figurine was chosen by our team to minimise the amount of filament needed for generated support and some of the model’s parts were hollowed out for you to save resin in the model’s Eco version. For you to achieve the cleanest 3D printed result, each of Blue’s talons, her claws, feet, and the football are provided as separate assembly pieces. For the same purpose, the dino’s jaws were extracted from her mouth and are now provided as two separate parts. The model’s leafy platform was divided into nine parts to fit the build plates of the average 3D printers. All the assembly parts come in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out in order to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and to make sure that the 3D printing beginners won't face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. When downloading any figurine's file you will also receive "Assembly Manual" for FFF/FDM 1.0 and DLP/SLA 1.0 versions in PDF format.
The figurine is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.
The model's scale was calculated from the actual height of Baby Blue that is 690 mm. The 3D printing figurine's chosen scale is 1/1 for the FFF/FDM version and 1/2 for the DLP/SLA/SLS versions.
