Jack Sparrow, or should we better say, Captain Jack Sparrow, is a legendary pirate of the Caribbean and the infamous trickster who seems to have an enemy in every port of the Seven Seas. The star of the Pirates of the Caribbean media franchise is distinguished by his trademark drunken swagger and flailing body language so skilfully personified by Johnny Depp. The author of the fantastic Jack Sparrow 3D printing figurine was determined to portray the one and only Pirate Lord of the Caribbean Sea and spent 167 hours working on the incredible project. Thus, Mr. Sparrow for 3D printing is depicted with all attributes that any Pirates of the Caribbean fan would expect the notorious freebooter to wear. The 3D printing Sparrow figurine has his long hair dreadlocked and customarily wears his goatee in two braids. The author of the model made sure to include Jack’s signature tricorne hat, bandanna, and lots of intricate beads and ancient coins that the pirate is known to love decorating his dreadlocks with. Jack Sparrow model is dressed in pirate’s usual long frock coat, high sea-boots, and has Depp’s favourite large rings adorning his fingers on the left hand. In the right hand the Captain figurine holds his genuine 18th-century sword and has a large scabbard hanging on the left side of the coat. Finally, the 3D artist made sure to pay careful attention to the intricate set of belts that the legendary pirate was seen wearing throughout the movies comprising the franchise. The 3D printing pirate has his flintlock pistol stowed into one of the belts tied around his waist and also wears Jack’s confusing magic compass on a chain and a unique trinket with a chicken paw a few pieces of animal pelt. Arguably the most well-known fictional pirate ever is so easily recognized thanks to Jack Sparrow’s rock-and-roll approach to a pirate aesthetic. That and the unsurpassed performance by Johnny Depp have won the hearts of cinema-goers since the moment The Curse of the Black Pearl hit the screens. Now the biggest troublemaker on the Seven Seas can become a part of your 3D printed collection - just print the STL files! 


Jack Sparrow figurine for 3D printing is a static assembly model and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took Gambody team 57 hours in total. Figurine’s anatomy was thoroughly reviewed during the moderation process for the iconic pirate to be depicted harmoniously in his long coat and the intended swaggering pose. The model’s cutting was chosen by our team to minimise the amount of filament needed for generated support and some of the parts were hollowed out for you to save resin in the figurine’s Eco version. In order to conceal the places where the assembly parts of the model must be connected, the figurine was cut along the contour of Jack’s pirate clothes seams and his long sea-boots were separated. For you to achieve the cleanest 3D printed result, Jack’s tricorne hat, flintlock pistol, sword, scabbard, compass, belt trinket, etc. are provided as separate assembly pieces. The figurine’s head is designed in such a way that you can choose to display the Captain with or without his trademark tricorne hat. All the assembly parts come in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out in order to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and so that the 3D printing beginners won't face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. When downloading any figurine's file you will also receive "Assembly Manual" for FFF/FDM 1.0 and DLP/SLA 1.0 versions in PDF format.

The figurine is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

The model's scale was calculated from the actual height of Jack Sparrow which is 1780 mm. The 3D printing figurine's chosen scale is 1/8 for the FFF/FDM version and 1/16 for the DLP/SLA/SLS versions.


FFF/FDM 1.0/1.1 version features:
- Contains 26 parts;
- A printed model is 245 mm tall, 197 mm wide, 151 mm deep;
- Assembly kit includes lock 22_ge_lock_7S(x1) to attach the figurine's body to legs securely without glue that needs to be printed once;
- The figurine's body comes in two variants for you to choose from - the one-piece upper body (1_body_FDM) and the head, face, dreadlocks and the body separated (1_v2_body, 1_v2_hair, 1_v2_head_low, 1_v2_head_top);
- Captain Jack Sparrow can be displayed either with or without his tricorne hat;
- Made with a platform to resemble the deck of a pirate ship;
- The FFF/FDM 1.1 version differs in a significantly enhanced level of detail;
- All parts are divided in such a way that you will print them with the smallest number of support structures.

DLP/SLA 1.0/1.1 version features:
- Contains 10 parts;
- A printed model is 123 mm tall, 98 mm wide, 76 mm deep;
- Captain Jack Sparrow can be displayed either with or without his tricorne hat;
- Made with a platform to resemble the deck of a pirate ship;
- The DLP/SLA 1.1 version differs in a significantly enhanced level of detail;
- All parts are divided in such a way to fit the build plates and to ensure that support structures are generated where needed.

DLP/SLA Eco 1.0/1.1 version features:
- Contains 10 parts;
- A printed model is 123 mm tall, 98 mm wide, 76 mm deep;
- Captain Jack Sparrow can be displayed either with or without his tricorne hat;
- Made with a platform to resemble the deck of a pirate ship;
- The DLP/SLA Eco 1.1 version differs in a significantly enhanced level of detail;
- Contains some hollowed out parts to save resin.

SLS 1.0/1.1 version features:
- Made as a solid one-piece figurine;
- A printed model is 123 mm tall, 98 mm wide, 76 mm deep;
