This 3D Miniature consists of files in StereoLithography (.Stl) format that have been optimized for 3D printing.

Before printing the files, we strongly recommend reading the PRINTING DETAILS section.

Version 1 and Version 2 are the files for Darth Vader 3D Miniature optimized for 3D printing, the preview pictures of which you see above.

It is recommended:

  • to print Version 1 STL files on FDM/FFF 3D printers;
  • to print Version 2 STL files on DLP/SLA/SLS 3D printers.

Description

HISTORY OF THE DARTH VADER

"You were the Chosen One!" They foretold that you would destroy the Sith, but not join them! Restore the balance of the Force, but not cast it into darkness! "

Anakin Skywalker is the legendary Force-sensitive person who served the Galactic Republic as a Jedi Knight later serving the Galactic He was the father of Grand Master Luke Skywalker of the Jedi Knight Leah Organa Solo and the grandfather of Ben Skywalker. Although, being an adult, Anakin became a key figure in the Galaxy despite a low origin. The first years of his life he spent on Tatooine along with his mother as a slave. Later, Skywalker met Padme Amidala - Queen of Naboo, who after some time become his wife. Freedom from slavery, he takes from the win on the race and after parting with his mother flew from Tatooine along with the knight Qui-Gon. On Naboo, despite his young age, he ventured to take part in the battle against the Trade Federation, which was crowned with success. Shortly thereafter, he joined the Jedi Order by becoming the Padawan of Obi-Wan Kenobi. The Jedi believed that Anakin was the Chosen One who, according to the Jedi prophecy, had to restore the balance of Power by destroying the Sith. However, the council did not want to teach him at first because Master Yoda felt danger in him but Knight Obi-Wan persuaded the masters to take Anakin despite the age unsuitable for his studies and his fear for the mother that could lead to the dark side.              

ABOUT THIS 3D MINIATURE

The model is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers

FDM version features:

- Contains 17 parts.

- Made with locks and connectors. One part of Lock (2_Ge_lock_7S (x7)) you need to print 7 times. One part of Connector (5_GE_Connector_A_A (x2)) you need to print twice;

- Made with a platform;

- Contain 2 variants of a lightsaber. Removable cloak and skirt which you can print with flexible materials;
- All parts are divided in such a way that you will print them with the smallest amount of supports.

SLS/SLA version features:

- Made as a solid one-piece figurine;
- Contains 6 parts - one-piece Darth Vader figurine variants with the platform separated.

All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

Note: Before starting 3D printing the model, read the Printing Details for CURA 3.1.0. Software.

There are 17 parts for FFF/FDM version and 6 parts for SLS/SLA version.

All parts of connectors you need to print with 100% infill.

Scale: His height in life is 2030 mm. Model made in 1/8 scale in FDM version and 1/16 in SLS/SLA version.

SLS/SLA version dimensions:

After being printed will stand - 138 mm tall, 93 mm wide, 108 mm deep;

To avoid printing issues and achieve the best quality, we highly recommend applying the following settings:

Generic

This model was tested in Cura 3.1.0. and printed on an Ultimaker 2 in PLA material.

Recommendations: For all parts of Locks you need to change "Brim" type to "Skirt" in Build Plate Adhesion section.
