Printing Details

This 3D model consists of files in StereoLithography (.Stl) format that have been optimized for 3D printing.

Before printing the files, we strongly recommend reading the PRINTING DETAILS section.

Version 1 and Version 2 are the STL files for Porgs 3D Models optimized for 3D printing, the preview pictures of which you see above.

It is recommended:

  • to print Version 1 STL files on FDM/FFF 3D printers;
  • to print Version 2 STL files on DLP/SLA/SLS 3D printers.

HISTORY OF THE PORGS

Porgs are the sea birds that lived on the planet Ahch-To, where the Master Jedi Luke Skywalker was in exile a lot of years after the Battle of Endor. These animals, inhabiting on the rocks of the island where Skywalker lived. They build nests and can fly. Males of Porgs a little larger in size than females. These cuties conquered the hearts of all fans and our too. People even talk about their special importance in the plot. But we will not spread rumors and better just to present you the pretty Porgs who is now available for purchase on Gambody.

ABOUT THIS 3D MODEL

Porgs 3D models for printing was created in ZBrush. The models are saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers.
Models of Porgs is available in 3 variants for each version (FDM/FFF, SLS/SLA):
1. Angry
2. Impressed
3. Cute

FDM version features: 
Each variant made as one piece with divided legs. Both files of feet (4_feet_R.stl) and (5_feet_L.stl) will fit for each variant of Porgs.

SLS/SLA version features:
 Less than FDM and made as one piece in each variant of Porgs.

All .STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

Note: Before starting 3D printing the model, read the Printing Details for CURA 2.7.0. software.

There are 5 parts for FDM version and 3 parts for SLS/SLA.
All parts of feet should be printed at 100% infill.

FDM version dimensions:


- After being printed will stand: 
109.3 mm tall, 150 mm wide, 116.4 mm deep - In Angry Variant.

115.3 mm tall, 114 mm wide, 106 mm deep - In Impressed Variant.

120.5 mm tall, 66.7 mm wide, 91 mm deep - In Cute Variant.

- Feet should be printed at 100% infill to make them solid.

SLS/SLA version dimensions:

- After being printed will stand:
54.7 mm tall, 75 mm wide, 58.2 mm deep - In Angry Variant.

57.7 mm tall, 53 mm wide, 52.9 mm deep - In Impressed Variant.

60.3 mm tall, 33.3 mm wide, 45.5 mm deep - In Cute Variant.

On 12.01.2018 the new body was added for the impressed variant of the Porg. Now he is impressed looking up. The STL files are already available for purchase and download in “Source files” tab for both versions. You can find them at the end of the list. 

Here are the names of these files:

  • 2_up.STL - in Version 1 for FDM/FFF 3D printers;
  • 2_up_sls.STL - in Version 2 for DLP/SLA/SLS 3D printers.
