Hal Jordan is a former test-pilot who was chosen to become the Green Lantern of Sector 2814, the one where resides Earth. The fictional superhero with exceptional willpower is considered to be not only the most powerful Green Lantern but also one of the most powerful heroes to appear in DC Comics. And this status is wholly justified - Hal Jordan is the only known Green Lantern who managed to forge his own Power Ring making it mightier than any other ring made by Guardians! Fighting evil across the universe, Hal is often compared by comics fans with the most prominent heavy hitters of the Justice League. What is more, the fact that his power is limited only by Green Lantern’s imagination paves the way for many masters of various creative arts who come up with stunning and intricate fan arts. The 3D printing figurine that one of our contributing 3D artists presents is no exception! The project has taken the author 152 hours for the Hal Jordan model to be depicted with a complex energy conduit that has three powerful missiles aimed at the opponent. Besides, Green Lantern for 3D printing is portrayed wearing his usual mask that protects his secret identity in his civilian life on Earth. They say the combined might of the entire Green Lantern Corps wouldn't be enough to stop Hal Jordan. But whether John Stewart could become a worthy adversary is often disputed among DC fans. Don’t wait for the fictional superheroes to face off - print the Hal Jordan figurine to join John Stewart and complete the “Green Lantern“ diorama where both Lanterns are flying in the middle of the powerful battle. 


Hal Jordan figurine for 3D printing is a static assembly model and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took Gambody team 48 hours in total. The figurine’s anatomy was thoroughly reviewed during the moderation process for the Green Lantern to be depicted harmoniously in the intended flying pose. The model’s cutting was chosen by our team to minimise the amount of filament needed for generated support and some of the parts were hollowed out for you to save resin in the model’s Eco version. Moreover, in order to conceal the places where assembly parts of the figurine must be connected, the model was cut along the contour of Green Lantern suit’s seams. The figurine's platform that resembles the intricate energy conduit generated by Power Ring was divided into 13 separate parts to fit even the smallest 3D printers’ build plates. Besides, the pointed missiles that 3D printing Green Lantern is depicted generating are also available as separate assembly pieces. All assembly parts are provided in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out so to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and that the 3D printing beginners won't face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. 

The figurine is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

The model's scale was calculated from Hal Jordan's actual height that is 1870 mm. The 3D printing figurine's chosen scale is 1/8 for the FFF/FDM version and 1/16 for the DLP/SLA/SLS versions.


FFF/FDM 1.0 version features:
- Contains 33 parts;
- A printed model is 390 mm tall, 221 mm wide, 275 mm deep;
- Assembly kit includes locks to connect parts securely without glue. One lock 33_ge_lock_10H(x23) needs to be printed 23 times;
- Made with a platform to resemble the energy conduit generated by Power Ring;
- All parts are divided in such a way that you will print them with the smallest number of support structures.

DLP/SLA 1.0 version features:
- Contains 15 parts;
- A printed model is 195 mm tall, 111 mm wide, 138 mm deep;
- Made with a platform to resemble the energy conduit generated by Power Ring;
- All parts are divided in such a way to fit the build plates and to make sure that support structures are generated where needed.

DLP/SLA Eco 1.0 version features:
- Contains 15 parts;
- A printed model is 195 mm tall, 111 mm wide, 138 mm deep;
- Made with a platform to resemble the energy conduit generated by Power Ring;
- Contains some hollowed out parts to save resin.

SLS 1.0 version features:
- Made as a solid one-piece figurine;
- A printed model is 195 mm tall, 111 mm wide, 138 mm deep;
- Contains 4 parts - a one-piece model and the figurine with energy conduit and base separated.
