ABOUT THIS 3D MODEL

Patrol Boat 31 Mk 2, also known as PBR or Riverine, is a versatile US “Brown Water” Navy patrol boat that was widely deployed in the Vietnam War 1966 through 1971. The speedy waterborne patrol vessel is known to have played a crucial role not only in patrolling the massive waterways in order to prevent the weapon shipment but also engaged in forces’ transportation and firefights with land-based units. PBR is well-known and loved among the model kits enthusiasts and appears in Battlefield Vietnam video game exploring the historical settings of the war. The author of the Riverine model for 3D printing was inspired by the Mark II version of the US rigid-hulled patrol boat and came up with an incredible 3D printing project to rejoice the hobbyists all around the world. With so much history around it, a model of Patrol Boat 31 Mk 2 can become a unique item in any collection of 3D printed models.

The model is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

The model's scale was calculated from the length of the Patrol Boat 31 Mk 2 that is 9800 mm. The 3D printing model's chosen scale is 1/30 for FFF/FDM version.
