ABOUT THIS 3D MODEL

"9" animated sci-fi film shows the events of the alternate version of the 1940s illustrating the end of mankind following an uprising of machines that declare war on the biological life of Earth. Trying to prevent the tragedy, the Scientist created nine homunculus-like rag dolls called Stitchpunks which could oppose the hostile machines. 6 is the most visionary and artistic of stitchpunks who expresses himself through drawings that are inspired by his dreams.

Our contributing 3D artist could not leave without attention 6 and created this unique and authentic figurine for 3D printing. 6 is designed as a striped stitchpunk with fastenings reeled on his neck, wrists, and ankles. The top of the head of 6 is adorned with a tuft of thick threads, and a large old-fashioned key hangs on his neck. The disproportionate eye lenses play a large part in reflecting the character of 6 and translating his emotions. A truly unusual feature of 6 is his fingers which are made of ink pen nibs, and the scene is perfectly chosen to present 6: the author depicted the character holding an inkwell and half-turned to the viewer with a roll of paper on the background. The authentic and filmic look of this stitchpunk is what will make your new 3D-printing collectible amaze everyone!

ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING

6 Stitchpunk for 3D printing is a static assembly figurine and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took the Gambody team 57 hours in total. The figurines' anatomy and proportions were thoroughly reviewed during the moderation process for the stitchpunk to be depicted harmoniously in the intended pose.

The figurine’s cutting was chosen by our team to minimise the amount of generated support and some of the parts were hollowed out for you to save resin in the Eco version. In order to conceal the places where the assembly parts of the figurine are connected, 6 Stitchpunk was divided into convenient assembly parts.

All assembly parts in the FFF/FDM 1.0 version are provided in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out in order to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and that the 3D printing beginners won't face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. When downloading any model's file you will also receive "Assembly Manual" for FFF/FDM 1.0 and DLP/SLA 1.0 versions in PDF format. We highly recommend that you get acquainted with the “Assembly Video” and "Assembly Manual" before getting down to 6 Stitchpunk.

The model is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

The figurine’s scale was calculated from the height of the character. The 3D printing figurine’s chosen scales are 1:1 for the FFF/FDM version and 1:2 for the DLP/SLA/SLS versions.
