HISTORY OF AXE

The real name of this Dota 2 character is Mogul Khan. When he was just an ordinary soldier in the Army of Red Mist he was dreaming of becoming the Red Mist General. Mogul furiously proved his superiority in the most bloody ways participating in any possible battle. During the seven years war of the Thousands Tarns he was remarkable for his ruthlessness in especially bloody slaughters. For the sake of his promotion, he even used to kill his senior allies and thanks to this, quickly took a hold of his desired rank. On the night of the greatest victory Mogul proclaimed himself the Red Mist General and chose the highest title - Axe. The only problem is that there are no soldiers left in his troops. Though many of them fell victim to an enemy a great number of fighters were murdered by Axe himself. No warrior would willingly fight under his banner. But it doesn’t really bother Axe - he knows that in a cruel battle there is no one you can rely on but yourself.

ABOUT THIS 3D FIGURINE (version 2.0)

This model has an update that includes 4 new versions: FFF/FDM 2.0, DLP/SLA 1.0DLP/SLA Eco 1.0 and SLS 1.0. Now this model is adapted for all types of 3D printers and has scale 1/8 for FFF/FDM1/16 for DLP/SLA/SLS. The model is saved in STL files, a format is supported by most 3D printers

FFF/FDM 2.0 version features:

  • Contains 19 parts;
  • Assembly kit includes locks. One part of  Lock (18_Ge_lock_10H_x27) needs to be printed 27 times.
  • Made with Axe's Axe;
  • Made with a platform that divided into 4 pieces for small buildplates;
  • Alternative solid platform for the printers with a large print bed;
  • All parts are divided in such a way that you will print them with the smallest number of support structures.

DLP/SLA 1.0 version features:

  • Same as FDM but smaller, also made as 6 parts;

DLP/SLA Eco 1.0 version features:

  • Same as the DLP/SLA version, but contains parts hollowed out to save resin;

SLS 1.0 version features:

  • Same as SLA but made as 1 part.

All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

Note: Before starting 3D printing the model, read the Printing Details for CuraSimplify3D or Slic3r Software.

There are 18 parts for FFF/FDM version, 6 parts for DLP/SLA and DLP/SLA Eco versions, 1 part for SLS version.

Scale: Axe approximate height is 2000 mm. The model’s chosen scale is 1/8 for the FFF/FDM version and 1/16 for the DLP/SLA/SLS version.

Old FFF/FDM 1.0 version dimensions:A printed model is 97 mm tall, 84 mm wide, 110 mm deep;

FFF/FDM 2.0 version dimensions:A printed model is 270 mm tall, 307 mm wide, 231 mm deep;

DLP/SLA/SLS 1.0 version dimensions:A printed model is 135 mm tall, 154 mm wide, 116 mm deep;- Has few details, to keep printing costs down.

FAQ:

Below you can find printing recommendations for CuraSimplify3D and Slic3r software.

Cura printing recommendations:

These are basic settings that were tested in Cura 4.8.0 slicer.

The test models were printed on Ultimaker 2, Creality Ender 3, Creality CR-10S Pro V2, Anycubic I3 Mega, Anycubic I3 MegaS 3D printers with PLA and PETG filaments.

Disclaimer: The following printing settings are a recommendation, not an obligation. The parameters can vary depending on the peculiarities of your 3D printer, the material you use and especially the particular assembly part at hand. Each part that any model comprises often needs preliminary review and you are free to tweak the settings the way you find suitable.

Note:
- You can scale up the model (downscaling is not recommended!);
- All connectors should be printed at 100% Infill;
- For all parts of locks (“ge_lock” in “Source files”) you need to change "Brim" type to "Skirt" in Build Plate Adhesion section.
