ABOUT THIS 3D MODEL

Rifter is an agile and extremely powerful frigate of the Minmatar fleet, an iconic ship well-loved by EVE Online fans all over the world. This deadly battleship is known for its attack capabilities, exceptional maneuverability, and toughness in PVP combat. Some older EVE players may recall the time when Rifter was considered to be the King of Frigates being one of the most popular basic combat ships in the game. In the course of the game’s development, more and more frigates were boosted overshadowing the mighty Minmatar ship. Nevertheless, we are sure that with millions of fans worldwide, Rifter is one of EVE Online ships that everyone would like to have on the shelf. Being very enthusiastic about the space-based universe of the MMORPG by CCP Games, the author of the Rifter model for 3D printing decided to work on this special project to rejoice all die-hard EVE Online fans. 3D printing frigate is depicted in all of its might and glory, proudly carrying the plenty of ammunition perfect for disruption and harassment during the combat. The 3D artist made sure to carefully outline every single detail that the symmetric mobile ship can boast of. Long poles and spikes that the 3D printing Rifter carries all over the ship’s body do enhance the menacing nature of the frigate. We are absolutely sure that no spacecraft expert, let alone the EVE Online fan, will overlook the beautiful Rifter 3D printing model!

ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING (FFF/FDM 2.0, DLP/SLA 1.0, SLS 1.0)

Rifter frigate for 3D printing is a static assembly model and its updating and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took Gambody team 35 hours in total. Due to the fact that this model was first released on Gambody back in 2014, for all the EVE online fans to print the cleanest frigate possible the model was significantly upgraded, cut into assembly parts anew, equipped with improved connecting elements and adapted for different types of 3D printers taking into account the present-day technology advancements. Thus, for you to receive the cleanest 3D printing result possible and to minimize the amount of filament needed for generated support the starship model was divided into many assembly parts, e.g. its elongated body, all kinds of frigate’s ammunition, its wings, engines, thin pipes etc. are provided as separate STL files. The captain's bridge is provided separately as well for you to print it with the transparent filament. The model’s body both in FFF/FDM 2.0 and DLP/SLA 1.0 versions is made hollow for you to introduce LED illumination throughout the body of the ship. For you to beautifully display the Rifter model among your spaceship collection there is an intricate stand provided. All assembly parts are provided in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out in order to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and that the 3D printing beginners won't face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. When downloading any model's file you will also receive "Assembly Manual" for FFF/FDM 1.0 and DLP/SLA/SLS 1.0 versions in PDF format.

The model is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

The model's scale was calculated from the actual wingspan of Rifter that is 140000 mm. The 3D printing model's chosen scale is 1/200 for FFF/FDM version, 1/400 for DLP/SLA version and 1/2000 for SLS version.
