Ellen Ripley is the strong-willed protagonist of the Alien film series who fearlessly confronted Xenomorph representatives of all sizes in the course of the franchise’s development. Being one of the brightest female characters in the history of cinema, Ripley inspires talented people of all kinds and, luckily for us, the author of this model for 3D printing was also charmed by the brave warrant officer. The 3D artist spent 152 hours in total to prepare not one but two variants for you to assemble and showcase the figurine in! The scene that impressed the author of the model in particular is the confrontation between Ripley and Xenomorph Queen from the second Alien instalment that is fairly considered to be one of the most iconic fights in sci-fi history. The character so perfectly portrayed by Sigourney Weaver is depicted with her trademark curly hair, wearing a plain T-shirt and cartridge belt. In one of the 3D printing figurine’s variants, Ellen is wielding her M240 Incinerator Unit, or simply Flamethrower, and can be displayed standing on a special platform as if having encountered a herd of deadly Xenomorphs somewhere aboard USS Sulaco ship. Moreover, one of the most influential female characters to this day can also be assembled to be placed behind the controls of the Power Loader to complete a diorama. What happens to be the most iconic single prop in the entire Alien franchise is also presented on Gambody and just imagine what an incredible 3D printing project that is going to be!


Ellen Ripley figurine for 3D printing is a static assembly model and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took Gambody team 47 hours in total. The figurine’s anatomy was thoroughly reviewed during the moderation process for Ellen Ripley to be depicted harmoniously in two intended poses - one wielding the Flamethrower, another - operating the Power Loader. The model’s cutting was chosen by our team to minimise the amount of filament needed for generated support and some of the parts were hollowed out for you to save resin in the figurine’s Eco version. Moreover, in order to conceal the places where assembly parts of the model must be connected, the figurine was cut along the contour of Ripley’s clothes seams. For you to receive the cleanest result possible, figurine’s boots, sling, parts of the flamethrower including the underslung reservoir tank etc. are provided as separate assembly pieces. Both alternative pairs of Ripley’s arms are also cut in as many pieces as needed in order to ensure a neat 3D printed result. All the assembly parts are provided in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out so to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and that the 3D printing beginners won't face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. 

The figurine is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

The model's scale was calculated from Ellen Ripley's actual height that is 1750 mm. The 3D printing figurine's chosen scale is 1/8 for the FFF/FDM version and 1/16 for the DLP/SLA/SLS versions.


FFF/FDM 1.0 version features:
- Contains 24 parts;
- A printed model is 218 mm tall, 127 mm wide, 136 mm deep;
- Ripley can be displayed either on her own or operating the Power Loader to complete the diorama;
- Made with a platform to resemble the interior of the USS Sulaco ship for you to display Ripley solo;
- There are two pairs of arms available - one for the figurine to hold the Flamethrower, another - to operate the Power Loader;
- Comes with a Pulse Rifle that can be taped together with the Flamethrower to recreate Ripley’s iconic DIY weapon;
- All parts are divided in such a way that you will print them with the smallest number of support structures.

DLP/SLA 1.0 version features:
- Contains 9 parts;
- A printed model is 109 mm tall, 64 mm wide, 68 mm deep;
- Ripley can be displayed either on her own or operating the Power Loader to complete the diorama;
- Made with a platform to resemble the interior of the USS Sulaco ship for you to display Ripley solo;
- There are two pairs of arms available - one for the figurine to hold the Flamethrower, another - to operate the Power Loader;
- Comes with a Pulse Rifle that can be taped together with the Flamethrower to recreate Ripley’s iconic DIY weapon;
- All parts are divided in such a way to fit the build plates and to ensure that support structures are generated where needed.

DLP/SLA Eco 1.0 version features:
- Contains 9 parts;
- A printed model is 109 mm tall, 64 mm wide, 68 mm deep;
- Ripley can be displayed either on her own or operating the Power Loader to complete the diorama;
- Made with a platform to resemble the interior of the USS Sulaco ship for you to display Ripley solo;
