Marcus Fenix is an all-time legend of shooter video games, the vengeful COG veteran, and one of the protagonists of the Gears of War video game series. While serving a 40 years sentence in a maximum-security prison, a former Gear within the COG was drafted to lead Delta Squad against the rising threat of Locust hordes. The figurine of the veteran soldier for 3D printing perfectly depicts the tough and brave protagonist of the acclaimed video game series. The author of the model decided to go for an older look of Marcus Fenix, as well as for the bulky COG armor inspired by the Gears of War 4 Veteran Armor of the sergeant. 3D printing Marcus Fenix sports a thick beard and the character’s signature skull cap bandana. A deep scar runs the length of the right side of his face that makes the Locust slayer look more rugged and adds to Marcus’ veteran status. The COG soldier figurine is clearly in full readiness for action! His armor features a solid backpack attachment and a massive chest plate that is secured by two large circles over the chest area. Soldier’s shoulders, elbows, and knees are protected by a set of thick pads. Finally, Marcus’ boots seem to be incredibly hefty - must be a perfect choice for any type of battlefield. Marcus Fenix figurine for 3D printing boasts a highly-detailed ammunition belt adorned with pockets and pouches of various sizes to hold soldier’s emergency equipment. The author of the stocky Gear figurine didn’t forget to arm the veteran with his favourite weaponry pieces. Thus, Marcus Fenix model holds a massive Custom Lancer Mk 2 Assault Rifle in his hands, while a smaller MX8 Snub Pistol is secured in his leg holster. The iconic action hero and a symbol of modern shooters is an absolute fan favourite that may finally become a proud addition to your 3D printed armed forces!


Marcus Fenix figurine for 3D printing is a static assembly model and its updating and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took Gambody team 50 hours in total. Due to the fact that this figurine was first released on Gambody in 2017, in order for all the Gears of War fans to print the cleanest figurine possible the model was cut into assembly parts and adapted for different types of 3D printers taking into account the present-day technology advancements. Sergeant’s anatomy, facial features, and body proportions were thoroughly reviewed during the moderation process for the figurine to be depicted harmoniously in the intended pose. For the Marcus Fenix figurine to excel in the level of detail, our team made sure to enhance the textures all over the model’s COG Armor and worked on the detail of the figurine’s weapons, accessories, clothes, etc. The model’s cutting was chosen by our team to minimize the amount of filament needed for generated support and some of the parts were hollowed out for you in the model’s Eco version to save resin. In order to ensure the smooth 3D printed result, soldier’s Custom Lancer, the MX8 Snub Pistol that is to be inserted into the leg holster, chest plate seals, shoulder and elbow pads, boots, backpack attachment, various belt pockets, etc. are now provided as separate STL files as well. All the assembly parts are provided in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out so to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and that the 3D printing beginners won't face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. When downloading any figurine's file you will also receive "Assembly Manual" for FFF/FDM 2.0 and DLP/SLA 1.0 versions in PDF format

The figurine is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

The model's scale was calculated from the actual height of Marcus Fenix that is 1860 mm. The 3D printing figurine's chosen scale is 1/8 for the FFF/FDM version and 1/16 for the DLP/SLA/SLS versions.


FFF/FDM 2.0 version features:
- Contains 26 parts;
- A printed model is 245 mm tall, 159 mm wide, 116 mm deep;
- The figurine is significantly improved in accordance with anatomy and body and face proportions rules;
- Introduced new cutting and enhanced level of detail;
- The assembly kit includes locks to attach the model's parts securely without glue. Lock 25_ge_lock_10H(x1) needs to be printed once; lock 26_ge_lock_7S(x3) needs to be printed 3 times;
- All parts are divided in such a way that you will print them with the smallest number of support structures.

FFF/FDM 1.0 version features:
- Contains 10 parts;
- A printed model is 169 mm tall, 94 mm wide, 76 mm deep;
- The scale of the figurine is indeterminate;
- It is the initial version of the model released in 2017.

DLP/SLA 1.0 version features:
- Contains 7 parts;
- A printed model is 123 mm tall, 80 mm wide, 58 mm deep;
- The figurine is significantly improved in accordance with anatomy and body and face proportions rules;
- All parts are divided in such a way to fit the build plates and to ensure that support structures are generated where needed.

DLP/SLA Eco 1.0 version features:
- Contains 7 parts;
- A printed model is 123 mm tall, 80 mm wide, 58 mm deep;
- The figurine is significantly improved in accordance with anatomy and body and face proportions rules;
- Contains some hollowed out parts to save resin.

SLS 1.0 version features:
- Made as a solid one-piece figurine;
- A printed model is 123 mm tall, 80 mm wide, 58 mm deep;
- The figurine is significantly improved in accordance with anatomy and body and face proportions rules;
- Introduced new cutting and enhanced level of detail;
- Contains 3 parts - a solid Marcus Fenix model and the figurine with the platform separated.
