Description

ABOUT THIS 3D MODEL

The Toy Story is an iconic franchise that centers on a story of toys that, without humans knowing, are secretly living beings. The first entirely computer-animated film impresses not only with its technical innovation but also with a touching story of the main characters. Smart and determined Woody feels miserable finding out that Buzz Lightyear, a new superhero toy, becomes his owner’s favorite toy. Buzz impresses other toys with its skills and accessories; the hero is unaware he is a toy and believes he is a space ranger sent to stop the Evil Emperor Zurg. After surviving adventures together, Buzz and Woody learn what real friendship is and how important it is to believe in yourself and others.

The brave and courageous personality of Buzz inspired our skillful 3D artist to create this great model for 3D printing. The look of the electronic spaceman action figure can not but impress - Buzz is wearing his astronaut suit, the space wing is attached to his back, the head of the hero is covered with a special space helmet. The model is fully active, and you have a range of arms and leg positions to choose from, starting from standing still posture and ending with the famous “To infinity and beyond” posture. With alternative head parts, you have even more options for the display, the idea of creating a clone for your “toy” just as in Toy Story 2 is also worth your attention. Don't wait to 3D print one of the greatest cartoon characters of all time with high-quality STLs from Gambody!

ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING

Buzz Lightyear model for 3D printing is an active assembly model and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took the Gambody team 58 hours in total.

For you to receive the cleanest 3D printing result possible, minimize the amount of filament needed for generated support, and make use of the active elements designed by Gambody Engineers, the hero was divided into convenient assembly parts.

All assembly parts in the FFF/FDM 1.0 version are provided in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out in order to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and that the 3D printing beginners won’t face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. When downloading any model’s file you will also receive “Assembly Manual” for FFF/FDM 1.0 and DLP/SLA 1.0 versions in PDF and video formats. We highly recommend that you get acquainted with the “Assembly Video” and “Assembly Manual” before getting down to the Buzz Lightyear 3D printing model.

The model is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

The model’s scale was calculated from the height of the character. The 3D printing model’s chosen scales are 1:1 for the FFF/FDM version and 1:2 for the DLP/SLA version.
