Description

ABOUT THIS 3D MODEL

The Toy Story is an iconic franchise that centers on a story of toys that, without humans knowing, are secretly living beings. The first entirely computer-animated film impresses not only with its technical innovation but also with a touching story of the main characters. Cowboy doll Woody, the favorite toy of Andy, is smart and passionate, he is a leader among the other toys in the room. But the birthday gift to Andy, a new superhero toy Buzz Lightyear, that is admired by everyone, makes Woody feel jealous and rejected. Together Woody and Buzz get into an adventure where they have to learn to help each other, support and work as a team, and, finally, become friends.

The vintage pull-string cowboy toy with a discerning eye inspired our dedicated 3D artist to develop the design of this great model for 3D printing. Woody is depicted in his cowboy costume: a shirt and a vest with a sheriff badge on it; a holster and a buckle attached to the belt, and, of course, cowboy boots and hat. The head of the model is very recognizable for its oblong shape and big round eyes, alternative versions of the head with various facial expressions are available for Woody 3D printing model. In addition to its bright appearance, the model has a large number of articulated parts. Don’t wait and start printing one of the most famous characters in the history of animated films now!

ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING

The Woody model for 3D printing is a static assembly model and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took the Gambody team 52 hours in total.

For you to receive the cleanest 3D printing result possible, minimize the amount of filament needed for generated support, and make use of the active elements designed by Gambody Engineers, the doll was divided into convenient assembly parts.

All assembly parts in the FFF/FDM 1.0 version are provided in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out in order to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and that the 3D printing beginners won’t face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. When downloading any model’s file you will also receive “Assembly Manual” for FFF/FDM 1.0 and DLP/SLA 1.0 versions in PDF and video formats. We highly recommend that you get acquainted with the “Assembly Video” and “Assembly Manual” before getting down to the Woody 3D printing model.

The model is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

The model’s scale was calculated from the height of the Woody. The 3D printing model’s chosen scales are 1:1 for the FFF/FDM version and 1:2 for the DLP/SLA version.
