Another addition to our amazing Kaiju collection has hatched. Found in the depths of New Guinea and mistaken for a precious stone by treasure hunters, Barugon's egg was retrieved and brought to Japan, where the ancient beast got out of his shell. Quickly growing immense in size, he set out to wreak havoc in the course of Daiei's Gamera vs Barugon movie. To put up a solid fight against Gamera and JSDF, Barugon uses the spikes on his back to produce an innocently looking rainbow ray that is actually more destructive than a missile! In addition, his clubbed tongue can knock entire buildings over with a mere punch or shoot out freezing liquid to put his opponents out of the game. Luckily, our contributing 3D artist was able to lurk the monster onto the page of our Kaiju category without taking any damage! The author of the model spent around 210 hours to recreate the menacing creature and make it look even more terrifying than you remember. Just like in the original design, Barugon's back and whip-like tail are studded with sharp spikes, and his snout is protected with a large horn. Barugon's mouth adorned with hundreds of knife-edged teeth is wide open in a devilish smile as the beast is launching his tongue to attack. Reminiscent of prehistoric reptiles, the monster's skin is riddled with countless folds and scales, making the model look like a real-life museum showpiece. We don't doubt that such an intricately detailed model will become a gem in every kaiju fan's collection. Now you get the chance to witness and provoke the epic fights of your favourite monsters and create crossovers no one even thought of! Thankfully, no atrocities and destructions will occur when you bring to life yet another 3D printed giant.


Barugon is a static assembly figurine and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took Gambody team 48 hours in total. The huge figurine in its assembly version was divided into as many assembly parts as needed to fit even the smallest 3D printers' build plates and for you to nevertheless receive a giant 3D printed kaiju after assembly. The cutting of Barugon figurine was chosen by our team to minimise the amount of filament needed for generated support and some of the model’s parts were hollowed out for you to save resin in the model’s Eco version. For you to achieve the cleanest 3D printed result, kaiju’s horn, feet, a pair of large spikes on its back, long spiky tail, etc. are provided as separate assembly pieces. For the same purpose, the monster’s tongue was extracted from his mouth and are now provided as a separate part. The model’s rocky platform was divided into four parts to fit the build plates of the average 3D printers. All assembly parts are provided in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out so to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and that the 3D printing beginners won't face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. When downloading any figurine's file you will also receive "Assembly Manual" for FFF/FDM 1.0 and DLP/SLA 1.0 versions in PDF format.

The figurine is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

The model's scale was calculated from Barugon's length that is 80000 mm. The 3D printing figurine's chosen scale is 1/250 for the FFF/FDM version and 1/500 for the DLP/SLA/SLS versions.


FFF/FDM 1.0 version features:
- Contains 27 parts;
- A printed model is 280 mm tall, 359 mm wide, 539 mm deep;
- The assembly kit includes locks to connect the model's parts securely without glue. Lock 26_ge_lock_7S(x11) needs to be printed 11 times; lock 27_ge_lock_10H(x12) needs to be printed 12 times;
- All parts are divided in such a way that you will print them with the smallest number of support structures.

DLP/SLA 1.0 version features:
- Contains 11 parts;
- A printed model is 140 mm tall, 180 mm wide, 269 mm deep;
- All parts are divided in such a way to fit the build plates and to ensure that support structures are generated where needed.

DLP/SLA Eco 1.0 version features:
- Contains 11 parts;
- A printed model is 140 mm tall, 180 mm wide, 269 mm deep;
- Contains some hollowed out parts to save resin.

SLS 1.0 version features:
- Made as solid one-piece figurine;
- A printed model is 140 mm tall, 180 mm wide, 269 mm deep;
- Contains 2 parts - a one-piece Barugon with the platform separated.
