ABOUT THIS 3D MODEL

BT-7274, also known as Bravo-Tango and is often simply referred to as BT, is a Vanguard-class Titan who is the star of the first-person shooter video game Titanfall 2. This Titan is extremely well-loved with the fans of the franchise for being the first robot with a voice of his own. BT is much more than a mechanised exoskeleton - piloted by militia rifleman Jack Cooper on the streets of war-torn future the Titan often goes beyond doing his duty, showing his own ideas and a distinct personality. But at the same time, when it comes to duty, BT has no match in strict observance of the three protocols: Link to Pilot, Uphold the Mission and Protect the Pilot. Inspired by the touching bond between a Titan and its human pilot, the author of the BT model for 3D printing spent 187 hours in total to give every Titanfall enthusiast a chance to obtain a very own loyal companion. The 3D artist equipped his BT for 3D printing with “20mm armour piercing automatic rifle” XO16A2 Chaingun and BT’s trademark missile pods that are known to be able to target multiple enemies simultaneously. The cockpit of the Bravo-Tango was worked out by the author of the model to the finest details and made accessible making it ready for Jack Cooper to pilot. The Vanguard-class Titan is highly detailed and is equipped with many hatches and intricate mechanisms. 3D printing BT's "eye", which contains all of his AI data, is also present - just don’t forget to paint it blue once you order your perfect Titan for 3D printing!

ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING

BT-7274 model for 3D printing is a highly articulated action assembly model and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took Gambody team 62 hours in total. In order to ensure the Titan’s multidirectional movement, it was divided into many assembly parts and special mechanisms were introduced into all model’s joints to give you an opportunity to display BT in a variety of positions, i.e. robot’s shoulders, elbows, wrists, knees, feet, every single finger’s phalange, BT’s eye etc. are movable and the missile pods on the model’s shoulders are fully extendable with the missile doors opening. The robot is equipped with its primary XO16A2 Chaingun that comes in several separate parts for you to receive the cleanest printed result as well. The front part of Titan can be fully opened for you to reveal highly-detailed pilot’s cockpit that can also be accessed through the opening top hatch. All assembly parts are provided in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out so to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and so that the 3D printing beginners won't face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. We highly recommend that you watch "Assembly video" in the photo preview section before assembling the Titan. 

The model is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

The model's scale was calculated from BT-7274's actual height that is 6200 mm. The 3D printing model's chosen scale is 1/16 for the FFF/FDM version and 1/32 for the DLP/SLA/SLS versions.

VERSIONS' SPECIFICATIONS

FFF/FDM 1.0 version features:
- Contains 128 parts;
- A printed model is 378 mm tall, 204 mm wide, 164 mm deep;
- Assembly kit includes locks to connect the parts without glue. One lock 124_Ge_lock_10H_x37​ needs to be printed 37 times;
- Wires 28_pelvis_pipe_flexible_R _FDM​ and 31_pelvis_pipe_flexible_L _FDM that are to be inserted into the robot's pelvis are recommended to be printed with flexible filament to preserve legs’ articulation; camera part 36_cam_for_stl_no_support _FDM​ is to be printed without supports (support parameter should be disabled in your slicer);
- Made with several sets of special joints to ensure full articulation of the model's limbs and body;
- The front part of Titan can be fully opened for you to access highly-detailed cockpit;
- Made with opening hatches, fully extendable and spinning missile pods and movable eye socket;
- Titan is equipped with its primary XO16A2 Chaingun weapon;
- All parts are divided in such a way that you will print them with the smallest number of support structures and so to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces.

FFF/FDM 1.1 version features:
- Contains 128 parts;
- A printed model is 378 mm tall, 204 mm wide, 164 mm deep;
- An updated version with improved connectors and joints that ensure articulation;
- Has new ratchet mechanism joints in shins, hips, waist (on each side), and elbows (see in the photo preview section);
- Come with an updated secure wrist fixation;
- Further specifications from the model's FFF/FDM 1.0 version are preserved in this update;
- All parts are divided in such a way that you will print them with the smallest number of support structures and so to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces.

DLP/SLA/SLS 1.0 version features:
- Contains 76 parts;
- A printed model is 189 mm tall, 102 mm wide, 82 mm deep;
- Made with several sets of special joints to ensure full articulation of the model's limbs and body;
- The front part of Titan can be fully opened for you to access highly-detailed cockpit;
- Made with opening hatches, fully extendable and spinning missile pods and movable eye socket;
- Titan is equipped with its primary XO16A2 Chaingun weapon;
- All parts are divided in such a way to fit the build plates and to ensure that support structures are generated where needed.

This model was tested in Cura 3.4.1 and printed on an Ultimaker 2 in PLA material. Below you can find printing recommendations for CuraSimplify3D and Slic3r softwares.
