HISTORY OF DEATH

Death is one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, the protagonist of the video game Darksiders II. He belongs to the ancient Nephilim race that was created artificially almost immediately after Heaven and Hell had been inhibited. The Demon Queen Lilith produced the race by mixing the ashes of angels and demons. There are only four representatives of this race in the whole Universe and they are all Riders of the Apocalypse who serve the Charred Council and who all the other Nephilims fell victim to. Death has always excelled his brothers as a craftsman and creator - he himself forged and endowed with power the Harvester, a weapon of special strength that Death is able to control mentally. Throughout his existence, the Rider of the Pale Horse has committed many terrible crimes - he destroyed entire worlds, perpetrate genocide, instilled terror. He didn’t acknowledge his guilt, but assumed overall responsibility following the principle “The end justifies the means.” Later, being disappointed in the meaning of his own life and having realised the horror of what he had been doing all this time, the future Horseman Death, along with other three Nephilims, entered the reality of the Charred Council - guardians of the Balance, who had enormous influence throughout the Universe. Four pledged allegiance to the Council, received new names and became the Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

ABOUT THIS 3D FIGURINE

The model is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers

FDM version features:
- Contain 39 parts;
- Assembly kit includes locks. One part of  Lock (2_Ge_lock_10H_(x52)) needs to be printed 52 times;
- Made with a raven Dust;
- Made with a special platform styled as a kingdom of dead;
- All parts are divided in such a way that you will print them with the smallest number of support structures.

DLP/SLA version features:
- Same as FDM but smaller, also made as 14 parts;

DLP/SLA Eco version features:
- Same as the DLP/SLA version, but contains parts hollowed out to save resin;

SLS version features:
- Same as SLA but made as 2 parts to save your material;

All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

Note: Before starting 3D printing the model, read the Printing Details for CuraSimplify3D or Slic3r Software.

There are 39 parts for FFF/FDM version, 14 parts for DLP/SLA and for DLP/SLA Eco versions, 2 parts for SLS.

Scale: Death actual height is 1880 mm. The model’s chosen scale is 1/8 for the FDM version and 1/16 for the DLP/SLA/SLS version.

FFF/FDM version dimensions:
A printed model is 298 mm tall, 472 mm wide, 479 mm deep - with platform
244 mm tall, 144 mm wide, 278 mm deep - without platform

DLP/SLA/SLS version dimensions:
A printed model is 149 mm tall, 236 mm wide, 240 mm deep - with platform
122 mm tall, 72 mm wide, 139 mm deep - without platform
- Has few details, to keep printing costs down.

Below you can find printing recommendations for CuraSimplify3D and Slic3r software.

Cura printing recommendations:

These are basic settings that were tested in Cura 4.8.0 slicer.

The test models were printed on Ultimaker 2, Creality Ender 3, Creality CR-10S Pro V2, Anycubic I3 Mega, Anycubic I3 MegaS 3D printers with PLA and PETG filaments.

Disclaimer: The following printing settings are a recommendation, not an obligation. The parameters can vary depending on the peculiarities of your 3D printer, the material you use and especially the particular assembly part at hand. Each part that any model comprises often needs preliminary review and you are free to tweak the settings the way you find suitable.

Note:
- You can scale up the model (downscaling is not recommended!);
- All connectors should be printed at 100% Infill;
- For all parts of locks (“ge_lock” in “Source files”) you need to change "Brim" type to "Skirt" in Build Plate Adhesion section.
