This 3D Figurine consists of files in StereoLithography (.Stl) format that is optimized for 3D printing.

Female Shepard 3D Printing Figurine comes in 5 versions for each 3D printer type (FFF/FDM, DLP/SLA, DLP/SLA Eco and SLS). Files for each version are available for download after the purchase.

ABOUT THIS 3D FIGURINE
Female Lieutenant Commander Shepard, also known by the default name of Jane Shepard is the player character and the human protagonist of the main Mass Effect game trilogy. Both male and female Commanders in the game can be customised - the player chooses gender, appearance, pre-service history, skills and even the psychological characteristics of the protagonist. The only thing that always remains unchanged is the character’s last name - Commander Shepard was symbolically named after the second person and first American to travel to space. The Female Shepard is strong and respected and is considered to be of equal importance as the male counterpart. The 3D printing figurine submitted by a contributing 3D artist is the author’s own ‘customisation’ of the Commander. Shepard is depicted holding a pistol in one hand with the Omni-Blade ready attached to the other. The author of the model also made sure the 3D printing enthusiasts are still left with certain customisation liberties. A Mass Effect fan can choose to print the Shepard either wearing a helmet or without one and the figurine can also be showcased either with or without the Assault rifle attached to the back of the Commander’s armour. Though the variations that can be introduced are not over yet - go print the figurine and paint the Female Shepard’s armour just the way you prefer it in the game!
ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING (FFF/FDM 2.0, DLP/SLA 1.0, DLP/SLA Eco 1.0, SLS 1.0)
Female Shepard figurine for 3D printing is a static assembly model and its updating and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took Gambody team 40 hours in total. Due to the fact that this figurine was first released on Gambody in 2016 as a solid one-piece model, for all the Mass Effect fans to print the cleanest figurine possible the model was cut into assembly parts. With the same purpose, such finer model’s parts as an assault rifle and both hands holding weapon are now provided as separate assembly pieces. The cutting of the Female Shepard figurine was chosen by our team to minimise the amount of filament needed for generated support and some of the parts were hollowed out for you to save resin. Moreover, in order to conceal the places where the assembly parts of the model must be connected, the figurine was cut along the contour of Shepard armour’s seams. All the assembly parts are provided in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out so to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and that the 3D printing beginners won't face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate.
The figurine is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.
The model's scale was calculated from Female Shepard's actual height that is 1780 mm. The 3D printing figurine's chosen scale is 1/8 for the FFF/FDM version and 1/16 for the DLP/SLA/SLS versions.
VERSIONS' SPECIFICATIONS
FFF/FDM 1.0 version features:
- Contains 2 parts - a solid one-piece figurine wearing a helmet and a figurine without one;
- A printed model is 160 mm tall, 90 mm wide, 92 mm deep;
- The scale of the figurine is indeterminate.
FFF/FDM 2.0 version features:
- Contains 16 parts;
- A printed model is 223 mm tall, 93 mm wide, 72 mm deep;
- Assembly kit includes one lock to connect the figurine's body and legs securely without glue;
- The body part is available in two variants - the solid one and the one with a hole on the back designated for the Assault rifle;
- Made with a platform to resemble the starship's interior design;
- All parts are divided in such a way that you will print them with the smallest number of support structures.
DLP/SLA 1.0 version features:
- Contains 9 parts;
- A printed model is 112 mm tall, 47 mm wide, 36 mm deep;
- The body part is available in two variants - the solid one and the one with a hole on the back designated for the Assault rifle;
- Made with a platform to resemble the starship's interior design;
- All parts are divided in such a way to fit the build plates and to ensure that support structures are generated where needed.
DLP/SLA Eco 1.0 version features:
- Contains 9 parts;
- A printed model is 112 mm tall, 47 mm wide, 36 mm deep;
- The body part is available in two variants - the solid one and the one with a hole on the back designated for the Assault rifle;
- Made with a platform to resemble the starship's interior design;
- Contains some hollowed out parts to save resin.
SLS 1.0 version features:
- Made as a solid one-piece figurine;
- A printed model is 112 mm tall, 47 mm wide, 36 mm deep;
- Contains 9 parts - a one-piece model in its all possible variants (with and without helmet and assault rifle) and all the same variants with the platform separated.

Cura printing recommendations:
These are basic settings that were tested in Cura 4.8.0 slicer.
The test models were printed on Ultimaker 2, Creality Ender 3, Creality CR-10S Pro V2, Anycubic I3 Mega, Anycubic I3 MegaS 3D printers with PLA and PETG filaments.
Disclaimer: The following printing settings are a recommendation, not an obligation. The parameters can vary depending on the peculiarities of your 3D printer, the material you use and especially the particular assembly part at hand. Each part that any model comprises often needs preliminary review and you are free to tweak the settings the way you find suitable.

- You can scale up the model (downscaling is not recommended!);
