ABOUT THIS 3D FIGURINE

Apocalypse, whose real name is En Sabah Nur, is one of the most powerful supervillains of Marvel Comics and one of the world's first mutants within the X-Men universe. Born in harsh and unforgiving conditions of Ancient Egypt nearly five thousand years ago, the grey-skinned Apocalypse developed a strong belief in a philosophy of "Survival of the Fittest." In addition to the fair amount of insane powers and abilities that the ruthless mutant possesses, Apocalypse is immortal and has access to the ancient Celestial technology that can even further augment the villain’s strength. The author of the Apocalypse on Throne 3D printing figurine spent around 190 hours in total in order to depict The First One in all his omnipotent glory. The brutal and extraordinarily intelligent mutant for 3D printing is depicted sitting on the massive throne as if radiating the infinite power he undoubtedly possesses. The supervillain is portrayed wearing the traditional and most iconic Apocalpyse armour that is known to be granted to him by the Celestials themselves! The armour is very bulky and its fragments are equipped with all kinds of “metallic” plates, tubes, and clasps. The 3D printing figurine is notable for its impressive attention to details - just take a look at the large letter “A” that adorns the Apocalypse’s belt, or at the fine sculpt of the villain’s head. Finally, the first glance at the majestic throne that Apocalypse sits solemnly on instantly tells us about the origin of the mutant. You can right away spot the fragments of ancient Egyptian mythology so closely associated with En Sabah Nur. Apocalypse is a feared and merciless being, able to conquer anything and anyone who will stand on his way. Capture the might of the supervillain by 3D printing the Apocalypse on Throne figurine!

ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING

Apocalypse on Throne figurine for 3D printing is a static assembly model and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took Gambody team 50 hours in total. Figurine’s anatomy, body, and face proportions were thoroughly reviewed during the moderation process for the mighty supervillain to be depicted harmoniously in the intended pose while sitting on the massive throne. The model’s cutting was chosen by our team to minimise the amount of filament needed for generated support and some of the parts were hollowed out for you to save resin in the figurine’s Eco version. In order to conceal the places where the assembly parts of the model must be connected, the figurine was cut along the contour of the Apocalypse Armor seams. What is more, in order to ensure an excellent quality of the 3D printed result the model was divided into many assembly parts, i.e. Apocalypse’s head, scapulars, hands, tubes, Egyptian decorations adorning the throne, etc. are provided as separate parts. In addition to that, in order to make sure the large figurine will fit the build plates of the smallest 3D printers the massive throne was also split into six parts. All the assembly parts come in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out in order to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and that the 3D printing beginners won't face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. When downloading any figurine's file you will also receive "Assembly Manual" for FFF/FDM 1.0 and DLP/SLA 1.0 versions in PDF format.

The figurine is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

The model's scale was calculated from Apocalypse's actual height that is 2130 mm. The 3D printing figurine's chosen scale is 1/8 for the FFF/FDM version and 1/16 for the DLP/SLA/SLS versions.
