ABOUT THIS 3D MODEL

Dick Tracy comic strip features police detective Dick Tracy, a handsome decisive investigator, whose methods resemble the approach of Sherlock Holmes’s, and who poses a serious threat to the criminals. With the development of technology, the methods of the police changed their form, and atomic-powered gadgets developed by Diet Smith Industries became widely used by the workers. The spacecraft with a magnetic propulsion system Space Coupe, user-friendly and pretty simple to operate, allows Dick to travel to the Moon and around the Earth and meet other forms of life, in particular, the people of Moon Valley.

The compact and functional Space Coupe could not leave indifferent our skillful 3D artist who designed this amazing vehicle for 3D printing. The vehicle has an elongated shape with nine thrusters attached to the hull that can be positioned according to your preferences or printed as static. The hull features engraved lettering to ease the painting process. Talking about the interior, you will be impressed by its level of detail, you can start thinking of the pilots and passengers right now! And the possibility of lighting up the cockpit, dashboard, navigation, and emergency lights is like icing on the cake! Tracy’s Space Coupe is made to manifest your dreams!

ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING

The Tracy’s Space Coupe model for 3D printing is a static assembly model and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took the Gambody team 79 hours in total.

For you to receive the cleanest 3D printing result possible, minimize the amount of filament needed for generated support, and make use of the active elements designed by Gambody Engineers, the vehicle was divided into convenient assembly parts.

All assembly parts in the FFF/FDM 1.0 version are provided in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out in order to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and that the 3D printing beginners won’t face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. When downloading any model’s file you will also receive “Assembly Manual” for FFF/FDM 1.0 and DLP/SLA 1.0 versions in PDF and video formats. We highly recommend that you get acquainted with the “Assembly Video” and “Assembly Manual” before getting down to the Tracy’s Space Coupe 3D printing model.

The model is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

The model’s scale was calculated from the approximate length of the Space Coupe which is 15000. The 3D printing model’s chosen scales are 1:32 for the FFF/FDM version and 1:64 for the DLP/SLA version.
