ABOUT THIS 3D FIGURINE

Usually malevolent and brutish creatures Orcs can be recognised in many fantasy universes be it fiction, video games or collectible card games. The inception of the modern concept of Orcs is considered to be within J. R. R. Tolkien’s legendarium. Having appeared as a repulsive and often hostile species of Middle-earth, the concept of the orc race has further been used in various fantasy works usually to represent the evil power. Thus fans of World of Warcraft, Warhammer, Dungeons and Dragons and many other fiction universes will definitely enjoy the 3D printing figurine that unites the features usually associated with Orcs. The humanoid creature is depicted bulky, with its heavy jaw, protruding tusk-like teeth, pointed ears and angry eyebrows. The author of the Orc 3D printing figurine noted that his character was mostly inspired by the 2016 Warcraft movie and the whole creative process took him approximately 220 hours in total. Holding the skull of the defeated enemy, the Executioner demonstrates the consequences that any foe will face in a daring attempt to oppose the furious Orcs. With the race of savage and aggressive creatures being present in many fictional universes, we are sure that Orc The Executioner will find its place in 3D printed collections of many enthusiasts!

ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING

Orc The Executioner figurine for 3D printing is a static assembly model and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took Gambody team 61 hours in total. Figurine’s anatomy was thoroughly reviewed during the moderation process for the fictional creature to be depicted harmoniously in the intended triumphant pose. The model’s cutting was chosen by our team to minimise the amount of filament needed for generated support and some of the parts were hollowed out for you to save resin. Moreover, in order to conceal the places where assembly parts of the model must be connected, the figurine was cut along the contour of Orc armour’s seams and folds. For you to receive the cleanest result possible such finer parts as shoulder pads, knee pad, Orc’s bangles and the beaten enemy’s spine are provided as separate files. The figurine's platform with a stack of rocks was divided into four separate parts to fit even the smallest 3D printers’ build plates. All the assembly parts are provided in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out so to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and that the 3D printing beginners won't face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate.

The figurine is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

The model's scale was calculated from Orc The Executioner's height that is 2300 mm. The 3D printing figurine's chosen scale is 1/8 for the FFF/FDM version and 1/16 for the DLP/SLA/SLS versions.
