Description

ABOUT THIS 3D MODEL

Getter-1 is the first and the most commonly used super robot combination of three different combat jets known as Eagle, Jaguar, and Bear within Getter Robo manga series. Originally created by Dr. Saotome for space exploration, the Getter Robo project instead became the main  defence force against the uprising Dinosaur Empire. When compared to the two other robot modes, Getter-1 is distinguished as the most balanced in both speed and combat as well as the one able to fight in almost any situation. Inspired by Go Nagai’s anime series, the author of the Getter-1 model for 3D printing spent 158 hours in total to prepare an eagle+jaguar+bear formation of the robot for all the cartoon fans to enjoy. Getter-1 robot for 3D printing is portrayed extremely furious - its stare is piercing and it seems that the ground is cracking under pressure of the mighty warrior. Naturally, the giant for 3D printing is equipped with the Getter Tomahawks and is actually depicted wielding two at a time. The cape-like attachment on the Getter-1’s back is known to help the robot fly and the mech’s remarkable Getter Wing was also not forgotten by the 3D artist. All fine details that would be dear for true anime enthusiasts such as blades on the robots forearms known as Getter Cutter or spikes on the head were also considered by the author of the model. It seems that once printed Getter-1 will also be able to fire Getter Rays! Go order the STL files to check it first.

ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING

Getter-1 model for 3D printing is a static assembly model and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took Gambody team 48 hours in total. The model’s cutting was chosen by our team to minimise the amount of filament needed for generated support and some of the parts were hollowed out for you to save resin in the model’s Eco version. Moreover, in order to conceal the places where assembly parts of the robot must be connected, the model was cut along the contour of the Getter-1 armour seams. For you to achieve the cleanest 3D printed result, such finer details as “horns” and spikes on the robot’s head, the tomahawks’ grips and blades etc. are provided as separate assembly pieces. The model’s cloak called the Getter Wing was detached and split into three parts to ensure nice printing result and to fit even the smallest 3D printers’ build plates. All the assembly parts are provided in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out so to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and that the 3D printing beginners won't face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate.

The model is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

The model's scale was calculated from Getter-1's actual height that is 38000 mm. The 3D printing model's chosen scale is 1/100 for the FFF/FDM version and 1/200 for the DLP/SLA/SLS versions.
