3D model history
The Space Pod first appeared in Season 3 of the 1965 Lost in Space TV series as a compact, spherical shuttle tucked inside the Jupiter 2 spacecraft. Equal parts futuristic space capsule and retro sci-fi icon, this Space Pod was inspired by NASA's Apollo LEM and gave the Robinsons a nimble way to land, explore, and rescue beyond their main vessel. Its cheeky "non-Euclidean" fit aboard the disk-shaped ship only added to its charm among iconic sci-fi vehicles.
This 3D printable Space Pod brings that legacy into your hands as a detailed spaceship pod STL file. The highly detailed cockpit supports fiber optics or LED lighting with a built-in double-wall structure. The rear hatch opens on functional hinges, the top antenna rotates, and both control panel and engine are ready for illumination. A scaled-down version is also included for docking with your Jupiter 2 3D print, completing your ultimate Lost in Space display and bringing this classic duo to life.
