ABOUT THIS 3D FIGURINE

The Batman Who Laughs is a "Jokerized" version of Bruce Wayne within the Dark Multiverse of the DC Comics. A supervillain from the dark Earth -22 was essentially created as a combination of Joker and Batman to keep bringing the chaos and threaten the populace of Gotham. As the decisive battle between Bruce Wayne and Joker resulted in the death of the latter, Batman was exposed to the purified toxin on the spot that completely twisted his mind. Having slaughtered the whole Justice League and their immediate family, The Scourge of The Dark Multiverse went out to assemble the most twisted versions of Batman to bring their own sense of justice to the world. The author of the 3D printing bust spent 140 hours to depict the team leader of the Dark Knights with his remarkable spiked visor and trademark menacing wide grin. As we all know, there is only one rule - a Batman who laughs… is a Batman who always wins so you will certainly need this dark gem in your DC 3D printed collection.

ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING

The Batman Who Laughs Bust for 3D printing is a static assembly figurine and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took Gambody team 32 hours in total. The model’s cutting in its assembly version was chosen by our team to minimise the amount of filament needed for generated support. Therefore, and also so to ensure the cleanest 3D printed result possible, each spike on the villain’s spiked visor is provided as a separate assembly piece. Besides, some of the parts were hollowed out for you to save resin in the bust’s Eco version. All the assembly parts are provided in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out so to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and that the 3D printing beginners won't face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate.

The figurine is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

The model's scale was calculated from the actual height of Bruce Wayne from Earth -22 that is 1880 mm. The 3D printing figurine's chosen scale is 1/3 for the FFF/FDM version and 1/6 for the DLP/SLA/SLS versions.

FAQ:

Where can I print a model if I have no printer?
How to get started with 3D printing?
How to set up my 3D printer?
How to choose right 3D model print bed positioning?
How to paint printed figurine?

Below you can find printing recommendations for CuraSimplify3D and Slic3r software.

Cura printing recommendations:

These are basic settings that were tested in Cura 4.8.0 slicer.

The test models were printed on Ultimaker 2, Creality Ender 3, Creality CR-10S Pro V2, Anycubic I3 Mega, Anycubic I3 MegaS 3D printers with PLA and PETG filaments.

Disclaimer: The following printing settings are a recommendation, not an obligation. The parameters can vary depending on the peculiarities of your 3D printer, the material you use and especially the particular assembly part at hand. Each part that any model comprises often needs preliminary review and you are free to tweak the settings the way you find suitable.

Note:
- You can scale up the model (downscaling is not recommended!);
- All connectors should be printed at 100% Infill;
- For all parts of locks (“ge_lock” in “Source files”) you need to change "Brim" type to "Skirt" in Build Plate Adhesion section.
