HISTORY OF THE IRON GIANT

A giant robot that comes to Earth from a distant cosmic galaxy. Despite its formidable appearance, the alien is the kindest creature. He makes friends with a brave boy. Hogarth explains to the giant what is good and evil. He shows to him comics like Superman and Atomo villain. Together with his friend Sculptor Dean, they hide the robot from everyone, including from secret agent Kent Mansley who found a boy's toy gun near the damaged power plant and began to suspect Hogarth. Later it turns out that the Giant reflexively attacks those who attack him and because of this, almost injures Hogarth. When Dean unravels it they go to look for him. Seeing the giant standing in the city where he had just saved two boys the military take this as an attack and begin to attack him. Mansley so wants to destroy the scary robot that he lied to General Rogard about the murder of giant Hogarth. As a result, the soldiers bring the giant to the transition to combat mode in which he continues to follow the same pattern as in self-defense. The general brings into combat mode the submarine Nautilus with the aim of destroying the giant. Hogarth succeeds in appeasing his friend and Dean explains to the general the true essence of things. The general understands everything and decides to cancel the attack but Mansley, who has been scared, orders to launch a nuclear missile involuntarily sending it directly to the city. The giant decides to save the city's population and flies into the stratosphere where it collides with a rocket and dies from a nuclear explosion. Subsequently, a monument to the Giant was built in the city by Dean. General Rogard gave Hogarth a bolt the only detail of the steel giant that he managed to find. However, on the same night, the robot begins to recover.
