ABOUT THIS 3D MODEL

Enter the futuristic universe of The Orville, a gripping sci-fi TV-series set in the early 25th century. The USS Orville (ECV-197), a mid-level Exploratory-class vessel in the service of the Planetary Union, commands attention under the leadership of Captain Ed Mercer and First Officer Kelly Grayson. Designed for extensive exploration and cartography, the USS Orville accommodates a diverse crew of nearly 300 and features a quantum drive capable of reaching speeds of 17 light years per hour. Though primarily an exploration vessel, the USS Orville, equipped with military and defensive armaments, became involved in many conflicts, including the notable Battle of Earth in 2421.

The meticulously designed USS Orville model for 3D printing captures the essence of this iconic spacecraft. Tailor your display with two shuttle hangar variants - opened or with a door - and two front hull options - with or without lettering. The model's thoughtful design includes tunnels for LED wiring, so you can illuminate its intricate features and bring the vibrant adventures of the Orville to life. Whether you're a seasoned fan of the series or a newcomer to the wonders of space exploration, our model offers a captivating glimpse into the boundless possibilities of the cosmos!

ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING

The USS Orville model for 3D printing is a static assembly model and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took the Gambody team 96 hours in total.

For you to receive the cleanest 3D printing result possible, minimize the amount of filament needed for generated support, and make use of the active elements designed by Gambody Engineers, the vessel was divided into convenient assembly parts.

All assembly parts in the FFF/FDM 1.0 version are provided in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out in order to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and that the 3D printing beginners won’t face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. When downloading any model’s file you will also receive “Assembly Manual” for FFF/FDM 1.0 and DLP/SLA 1.0 versions in PDF and video formats. We highly recommend that you get acquainted with the “Assembly Video” and “Assembly Manual” before getting down to the USS Orville 3D printing model.

The model is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

The model’s scale was calculated from the length of the USS Orville which is 300000 mm. The 3D printing model’s chosen scales are 1:350 for the FFF/FDM version and 1:700 for the DLP/SLA version.
